This could be games, movies, or books. I honestly can't think of a single one. The first or the second always seem to be the best, and if the third is in fact better, it just so happens that it isn't the finale. Can anyone come up with any?

Maybe even Lord of the Rings.

Because it was the one with less RPG elements in the series. Nowadays it's: Action>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Everything else.

Fair. I haven't played the third one yet. I'm waiting for it to get nice and cheap.

The overall game is incredible. Great game play with a phenomenal story and environment. The ending is the only bad part, and even that is being expanded by Bioware. They are announcing the DLC changes in April. Once the ending is fixed it'll be a tremendous game.

You might want to add "only in my opinion" at the end of each period because you make it seem like you're stating fact.

Spiderman 3 Star Wars 3 Lord of the Rings 3 Lets be honest the only reason we watch is for the special effects and these two nailed them down. 3rd star wars has the best fights of the series Spiderman 3 had two villains as well. Lord of the rings 3 had alot of fighting and ended happy.

The ME twitter account has said a few times that no changes are being made. Only "clarity" and "closure" additions. Nothing is being fixed. I doubt it'll even be true DLC, really. Maybe just a video outlining what happened after the clusterf*** of nonsense and plot holes.

Yeah I don't get why people hate temple of doom either. It's arguably the most underrated of the entire series (though it still doesn't sack up to the third IMO)

Hmm... I'd have to say Polanski's 'Apartment Trilogy.' I love Repulsion and Rosemary's Baby, but I am just so partial to The Tenant. It's probably in my top five or ten movies of all time.

Third one is garbage once you realize that the choices you made during the other two have ZERO impact on the game world. And I mean zero. Let the council die? Whatever. Killed the Rachni queen? Who cares.

In the second game a reaper attacks the citadel. Everyone saw it. Third game starts: "O my, what could this invasion be?" I DON'T KNOW MAYBE IT'S THE REAPERS. I mean my lord in all the years I have been playing video games I have never seen a worse plot line than ME3. The universe is being ripped apart and you are being sent on petty side missions to appease different factions. Game is awful.

Toy Story with Toy Story 3

Lord of the Rings with The Return of the King

Indiana Jones, with The Last Crusade

Star Wars Prequels, with Episode 3(considered now to be the 3rd best movie)

I'm sick of this bull***** about trilogy curse.

Any movie in a trilogie can be the best for differing reasons.

Here are the usual reasons:

1:Opens fresh idea, more intended to be a stand alone feature(example Jaws Matrix)

2:Takes ideas that created flawed jem in 1, and perfects them(example Uncharted 2 & Mass Effect 2)

3:Offers resounding resolution to saga with all the stops pulled out( Last Crusade and Toy Story 3)

I have to agree with you on that. Last Crusade is my favorite out of them all. And for the topic. I would also have to say the prequel star wars trilogy. Revenge of the Sith was very well done and tied the prequels with the originals quite well.
