The whole thing was pretty badass.

It would've been my favorite movie of the year if Argo and Looper and Django Unchained and The Cabin in the Woods and Life of Pi and Beasts of the Southern Wild and Moonrise Kingdom hadn't come out that year.
I did really like the movie, though. It was kind of a mess in terms of its story and flow, but it was a very entertaining mess.

I'd say true. All the people who are saying no, what was better? Django? I certainly know it wasn't the god-awful Bourne Legacy...

'Les Miserables' (though it's just barely 2012).
I found it hard to enjoy Les Mis because Javert is my favorite character from it (and his songs, esp Stars, are among my favorites) and god was Russell Crowe bad.which version of killer joe did you see? i've seen the R version in redbox, but i passed because i'm always suspicious of new cuts with new ratings.I'd say it was the 11th best.

Absolutely no. Cheers to everyone mentioning Beasts of the Southern Wild (my personal number one).
If people liked Les Mis, I definitely recommend seeing a good production of it on stage. It was one of my all time favourite musicals since I was a kid, so for me the movie was a bit of a let down in that regard.
Django Unchained was better. TDKR was very messy in the middle and a lot of things just didn't make sense from a narrative standpoint.

I own the directors cut on blu-ray. I am not sure what was cut for the R rating, but of course I'd suggest going with the uncut version.I'd say it was the 11th best.

I think it was the 5th best blockbuster movie I've seen this year.
Drive was the best movie of 2012, even though it was released in 2011. It will also be 2013's Best Picture to boot.
Its not even the bes Batman film of the year...
