So Mike Pence was recently addressed at the Broadway musical "Hamilton" where actor Brandon Victor Dixon quieted people by telling them not to boo and said this,

"There is nothing to boo here, there is nothing to boo here ladies and gentlemen. We are all here sharing a story of love. Mike Pence we welcome you here. We are the diverse Americans who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights. Sir, we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us. We thank you for sharing this wonderful American story, told by a diverse group of men and women of different colours, creeds and orientations."

Trump responded by demanding an apology via twitter.Trump responded by demanding an apology via twitter.

Trump (and Pence too considering he walked out) is really quite the delicate flower isn't he? Demanding safe spaces and apologies for exercising free speech is kinda sad, especially when it's done so respectfully. I mean shit, Obama dealt with stuff like this, and never felt the need to speak out against it.

Still shook that he actually said "safe space" lol.

It's unreal how thin skinned he is.

Some are speculating Trump/his team told Pence to go to Hamilton knowing something might happen and that would take the spotlight out of the $25M settlement for the Trump University case. Ha, seems elaborate but I wouldn't put it past him/them.

Remember the terror alerts in the Bush days? The terror level conveniently rose whenever the Bush admin had a scandal.

It's funny to see him bitching and moaning like a schoolgirl, just like the social justice pussies he and his supporters whine about. And he is bitching and moaning while literally being the most privileged American America has ever made.

His dumbass supporters are in for quite the surprise. It's quite funny, a group of people who want to stop eating shit, so they load their mouths with it, and wonder why their mouths taste like shit. Decade after decade, shit in, shit out. Trump could piss in their mouths and they would believe it's lemonade if he told them so.

I can't believe that red blooded american hillbillies would vote for such a delicate and whiney person like Trump. I thought they hated that stuff? As a liberal I fully support Trump having a good cry and I think you guys need to be more sensitive. He has feelings too you know.

Normally I agree with this, but I'm having difficulty finding any sympathy for him, especially when the person addressing Pence was very respectful. Sorry he couldn't handle it, but how the hell is he going to be able to handle the White House?

He wont be able to handle the White House. They will let him pretend that he is in charge though and Pence will do the real work. He will be throwing tantrums nonstop the next four years would be my guess. He'll spend much of his time making an ass of himself on twitter. He doesn't deserve our sensitivity, it was a joke just like he is.

Regardless of origin and intent of the Hamilton visit, the fraud settlement should absolutely be the focus of discussion.

But a little voice in the back of my mind whispers, "most of his supporters already know he's a disgusting fraud and it won't have any impact anyway".

Brandon Victor Dixon handled it well. Alright all of you see how Republicans handle scrutiny. Don't complain when the next Democrat has their moment.

From what I've been reading, it looks like Pence didn't exactly walk out. He was addressed at the end of the show. Seems to have started leaving before the cast spoked out. Even though he was getting booed long before that statement. For security measures, it only makes sense Pence leaves before the crowd. Whether he's being booed or not. We did after all, had a president assassinated in a theatre. Prolonging Pence stay in a public place as the public grew more aware he was there, was a security risk. More so since NYC is a Democrat and liberal stronghold.

I don't think a broadway show, was an appropriate setting for politics. For a show director that says all are welcomed. Apparently that's not the case for a Trump worker or supporter. Even for someone who comes off as the calmer and reasonable voice in the Trump administration. If the cast/staff of Hamilton wanted to hurt Trump's image; it has backfired. As this is overshadowing the Trump university settlement big time. I do however, see the boycott going nowhere.

@Serraph105:

I think Trump and his administration might very well become.....the most hated president in U.S. history.

Obama is gonna look like the best president in the fucking world compared to this guy! LMFAO ? I wanna be there when Trump's supporters change their signs from "Thank god for president Trump!" into "Go away, president Trump!"

In other words, Trump throws a twitter hissy fit over something that doesn't affect him.

I think one can use that several times as a news headline for four years.

Really mate? Are you paying attention? Pence is the "reasonable" voice? The guy who thinks electric shock therapy can cure people from being gay? He wanted to fund conversion therapy. He also signed a bill to jail same sex couples for applying for a marriage license. Calmer and more reasonable voice!!!????? Please rethink your life!

What's sad is he's not wrong. Compared to Trump, Pence is in many ways a reasonable moderate.

This is how the "center" gets moved.

True. Considering "the media", "the left", "Clintons", etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they thought the ACLU (a non-partisan group mind you) had some agenda against him

@mark1974: My statement was a comparison to the Trump administration as a whole. Pence had a very calm tone during his sole debate with Kaine, and other speeches. Pence's debate composure was so well done, I would argue Pence made Kaine looked like he came unprepared and inexperienced for the debate. And Pence may just end up being the voice of reason in the Oval Office, when Trump gets fired up.

Now, the electo-shock therapy statement was apparently debunked. And while it may not be easy for you to remember. Gay marriage was opposed by members of both major parties and sides of the political spectrum. Including Hillary and Obama; along with so many other politicians at one point or another. Its only after all, been a few years since gay marriage went national. And that was done by a Supreme Court decision. Not legislated into law by Congress. So lets not pretend it was just the evil Republicans and Conservatives, that was against gay marriage. Democrats had the opportunity in Obama's first year to pass gay marriage. And they didn't. But they managed to get something far more complex in Obamacare passed. So lets not throw the whole anti-gay thing on Pence. He after all, is on a platform that has not gone after gays.

But Pence did those things in 2015 and still does not back down from them. Hillary and Obama never called for jailing gays. I don't care what tone of voice he uses he is as radical as any politician out there.

Clinton has taken millions of private donations from countries that do a lot more to gays than just jail them. And both Clinton and Obama, has worked very closely with Middle Eastern countries. Helping them to stay in power and wage wars. Knowing their numerous human rights violations.

Politics goes beyond politically correct public speeches. What actually happens outside the public eye or behind closed doors. Is what really matters. The Trump platform is also not aiming to take down gay rights. The one Supreme Court decision that was campaigned about overturning, was reproductive rights from Roe v Wade.

I figured a boycott would happen eventually. But it's counter-productive. Hamilton's ticket sales will only increase as a result. Thanks for the publicity, Trump.

Ok so politics isn't about the policies a politician has and the laws they try to pass, it's about what they do behind closed doors... wait what?!

Eh he got irritated a few times and lied to the camera....but hey if that is okay with you then you have the right administration. Both are adverse to truth.

I'm conservative and she gets on my nerves. Way too excitable, too animated, too damned loud and shrill. I can only imagine how much she annoys the left, lol.

Love when this woman rants, she speaks nothing but common sense all the time.

Stopped watching when she said he was "lectured"

How is that a lecture?

@toast_burner:

Absolutely was a lecture. And worse, the same damned lecture white conservatives must endure 40 times a day every day from the left, the glory of the rainbow speech. Gosh, like he hadn't already heard that shit approximately 4 minutes earlier before he went into that building. Why waste your moment on something so boring and typical?

Trump should show some class and praise these people for expressing their right to do this.

I mean for ****'s sake, they didn't even boo Pence (the audience did, but not the production); they thanked him--a man that, in all likelihood, probably want's a fair number of them mistreated for their innocent life choices--for attending their show and expressed heartfelt and sincere concern and hope that he would help Trump be a good president.

I think that is something we can all get behind.

As for singling Pence out, well, if you remember a few years ago Obama also attended a production from this same place and Obama also was singled out and also received similar treatment. So stop playing the victim, conservatives.

Why can't they just be full of hate like everyone else! BOOOOOOOOO GO LIGHT A CAR A ON FIRE HIPPIES!*

@LJS9502_basic: A few times. Really ? And my God did Pence lie ? As if our politicians are a house of saints. They have never lied before. And Pence is the odd one left out.

Nothing I stated, suggets that Pence is the perfect flawless candidate. It was a compare and contrast to the Trump administration.

Many Americans voted for the end of the "political correct" and apparently ended up with a frail Twitter fairy. Long live the mighty conservative justice warrior, the orange knight, the one and only, Trump.

CJWs (conservative justice warriors) are the new SJWs.

CC (conservative correctness) is the new PC.

@jak42:

Say what you will, but by halfway through Trump's presidency, I bet 3/4 of eligible Americans will wish they voted for Hillary, leaving mostly hate-filled racist deplorables standing with him.
