Come on guys, honestly, what the hell did we do electing this guy over Hillary? Sure guys, Hillary had baggage and we need changes in Washington, but couldn't we have kept 4 more years of Obama-like president over this clueless clown.

I know he's not in office yet, but Jesus his 3rd grade mentality can't even get over petty shit like this. Wow.

Props for Pence, he is immeasurably more mature and classy than Trump. Can you imagine looking at all those portraits and pictures of each president in the past in the White House and then a photo of Trump, just seems to degrade the office even with the inclusion of some less than stellar presidents.

People voted because they DIDN'T want more Obama-like presidency.

@n64dd: Obama still has high approval ratings. People saw Hillary as corrupt and unlikable. It's a popularity contest and Hillary has no personality.

@mark1974:

I think she likely has a good personality, good enough for Bill who could have had anyone to marry probably, but her personality is blunted because she is extremely guarded after Republicans have been bashing her for decades. Her personality comes out here and there in unguarded moments. Unfortunately people bought into this image of her being this awful person, I don't think she is. Far less flawed then Trump.

But alas the election is over, so no more needs to be said there.

Results prove that Hillary won the popular vote, by a margin of nearly 2 million votes.

No, the results proved what he said.

More people did not vote for her, voted 3rd party, didnt vote but could have, all because neither of the candidates did anything for them. With Hillary completely losing the progressive support/vote that Obama managed to get. I mean..... she had to try to lose that support in this election, and she did just that. Losing 9 million progressives was no easy task and it didnt happen just because.

Probably the majority in the country that did vote for her. The minority are quite happy with the outcome I'm sure.

So each state can be represented instead of two large demographics (cali and new york) dictating for the rest of the country. Also so the richest candidate can't always win by buying votes with special interest groups.

Go ahead and make it about race though, because you don't have anything else but salty tears.

I'm not salty at all I haven't onced complained about Hillary losing despite winning the popular vote.

Just find it funny how people are praising the EC even though they're hero Trump himself says it's a dumb system.

Yeah to keep the people from electing who they want.

Yeah, that's pretty much the sole reason why we have electors physically go and cast votes on our behalf after the election.

This is an opinion piece, but it's worth the read for the quotes from many of the people responsible for creating the electoral college:

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/11/the-electoral-college-was-meant-to-stop-men-like-trump-from-being-president/508310/

I wasn't sure what all the hubbub was about, but then I watched the video. Whoever said those words is a disgustingly pretentious, smug person. Hillary was also disgustingly pretentious and smug - which probably aided the fact that not too many democrats were motivated to come out and vote for her.

I share Trump's distaste for the situation. As someone who voted for him, I'm glad he spoke up about it.

I also agree with him about SNL. SNL hasn't been funny for a very long time. Not funny + overly political = bottom of the barrel. The jokes must be targeting what...13 year olds?

Yeah, he should have just said that Pence was a homophobe who is ugly both inside and out and whose election reflects the fact that America is going to hell.

Because that wouldn't have been pretentious - it would have been using Pence's running mate's own words.

I'm assuming you're referring to the fact that it allowed the southern states to achieve a greater share of representation because it caused their non-voting slaves to be counted as 3/5ths of a person and thus increase their electoral vote count?

Eh, that's cuckold talk. You've obviously never felt protective of anyone before. If my child was harassed and said my child didn't give a shit, obviously I would still care regardless. Same goes for a friend, gf, or anyone really. Sounds to me you just don't like people who actually have a backbone.

More irony. This whole thread is a bunch of liberals acting like babies, crying because Trump made a few tweets.

Cry more liberals? None of you obviously have enough of a spine to ignore a couple of tweets.

This thread is highschool, and the liberals have the mentality of spoiled teenage girls.

Oh, good job using the cuckold term. Way to show your instinct to the herd mentality. Your analogy is shit too, considering Mike Pence is Trump's vice president and a grown ass man, not Trump's child. And no, I dont like bitches, and Trump shows himself to be one anytime he opens his mouth. Acknowledging someone is a bitch does not make you a bitch. By that token, you're a cuckold for calling me one. See how the playground mentality does not really work? It's ok, you are able to call a spade a spade......

There is a sense of irony in your statement.

Aren't you doing the exact same thing cause some people here made a few posts against Trump?
You're even using the exact same language by calling them babies cause they call him a baby.

In the meantime Trump is using pay to play tactics with foreign leaders.....something he whined about Clinton doing when she wasn't actually involved in government.....and he is.....letting his children be too involved in politics......and hiring odious people. Sleight of hand....don't fall for it. Pay attention to what's important.

@LJS9502_basic: yup. It's amazing though not surprising how there isn't a word from Trump crazies about his many, many, MANY conflicts of interests, despite ragging Clinton on her supposed bad ethics the entire campaign.

He's also costing the NY taxpayers $1m a day for having to protect him in his ivory tower instead of being in DC where it's secure already. Trump doesn't give a **** about the average American.

Yeah it just goes to show that those who supported him really didn't have a clue about what they were supporting. Sad really. I hope he does something egregious and doesn't get in office. But if he does....I think he'll be impeached.

Of course you don't, LJ.

Carry on.

That's because there is no difference. But you're trying to save face....we get it.

No dude, its like this. Debating with you is too tedious for a Sunday afternoon. I have no face to save.

Go Chiefs. I think I remember you are a Penguins fan, so I'll take a guess and say, Go Steelers. I like Big Ben. Love his toughness.

Sorry if I'm incorrectly making you out to be Steelers fan.

Don't be so salty dude. Merely pointed out what you said was incorrect. Nonetheless I'm currently watching the Steelers play Cleveland. So far so good. I'm from Pittsburgh...Steelers are coded into our DNA. Also spellcheck needs to learn how to spell Steelers.

Looking back, the tedious comment was uncalled for. The truth is, jousting with you is hard work, LJ, and I just wasn't up to it.

Congrats on the win over the Browns.

he has show everyone time and time again he cannot ignore even the perceived slights against him ( in this case by proxy )

Not sure I can argue against you on that one. So far he hasn't shown the ability to let petty crap roll off him.

That was kind of my point. Quit belittling the office you are about to occupy by responding to every slight, perceived or real.

And, of course, being the mean-spirited conservative that I am, I couldn't resist taking a slap at the silly actors.

Say what you will, but by halfway through Trump's presidency, I bet 3/4 of eligible Americans will wish they voted for Hillary, leaving mostly hate-filled racist deplorables standing with him.

That will never happen. You folks on the left are so hate filled there is no way to meet you half way. The actions of the cast were deplorable can you imagine if the folks on the right had publicly chastised Obama we would have been called racists and have calls for the Justice Department to bring charges against us. You folks can't even show common courtesy.

Trump needs to quit aiming down. Nobody gives a fvck what the cast of Hamilton has to say. Don't give the attention-seeking, self-aggrandizing ............ people what they want. Ignore them.

he is utterly incapable of that.

if the past few presidencies have taught us nothing else, is that you have to take a LOT of shit from the other side while in office.

I'm not hate-filled and I'm giving this guy a chance in my mind, but he can't keep being upset by petty shit, unbelievable (as he would say)!

Yep, that class act whose whole legacy will be instituting a completely broken health care system and giving over $275 billion to the Syrians. Great guy that Obama.
