A lot of rumors talk about the consoles either coming with there own camera (kenetic, pseye) or just being heavily into marketing them. (The Future)

Do you think that the companies could have the ability to "hack", into the cameras an be able to use them as if looking through a camcorder?

With no way of the user knowwwing.

Or could just any determined hacker do so...

I'm the person who puts tape over there built in camera on there laptop. Dont trust anything.

Just funny to me how this could be the future, permanently. So a camera in millions of homes. There could be useful information being gathered through these lenses. From both thiefs and gaming companies.

Just a thought.

If you put a camera in your home like that and do not take any precautions then you are opening yourself up to being spied on. You should never be careless with cameras. You should always put black tape over webcams, laptops, cellphone cameras, etc. Gaming accessory cameras are no exception.Laihendi

No one is using my smartphone camera to spy on me. No one is using my laptop's webcam to spy on me because that lights up if it's on. I'm pretty damn sure my phones aren't bugged or whatever because the only time I've been involved with the police was when me and a bunch of friends got wrongly accused of messing around with some shopping trolleys. So there's nothing to spy on.

A camera connected to the internet is not dangerous. It can get hacked but if it does that's your fault for not browsing the internet safely.
