I've always enjoyed a nice tuna fish sandwich especially after working out cause of all the protein content and of course the taste but many of my friends seem to find tuna fish disgusting. They find the smell repulsive however I don't really think it's all too bad. Just curious how many of you guys actually like tuna.

It's the best, but they've become quite an endangered species.

Love it, even the cheap canned varieties. Nothing like a tuna melt.

I'll occasionally have a tuna sandwich or canned tuna snacks on crackers (like the cloverleaf flavored kinds, there was a teriyaki one many years ago that was AMAZING but I can't find it anymore). I agree it doesn't smell great, but oh well. Brush your teeth after. I don't understand tuna melts. I don't want cheese anywhere near fish, ever.

If you're eating it with just tuna and miracle whip, I highly recommend incorporating pickles or relish and some celery. You'll never eat it without those ingredients again.

For a while I was adding creamed horse radish and brown mustard for kick, as well as adding chilli cheese fritos to the sandwich. I found that just straight miracle whip was better in the end. But, pickles or relish would add a different flavor so im going to have to try that.

I eat it out the pouch when cutting - taste horrible. Recently discovered rice vinegar, and kinda changed that.

I thought this thread might be about why people call tuna tuna fish. I mean everybody knows that tuna is a fish, why do you have to say tuna fish? But the TC is just another one of the mindless masses who say tuna fish, wasting everyone's time.

Tuna fish, mayonaise and sweetcorn mixed together and a baked potato, is awesome. :)

But I also love tuna on its own.

I love tuna. But unfortunately, I have been really sensitive to smell these days and have not been able to hold down any form of seafood.

I miss eating my fish...

Tuna is good. But that "tuna fish" you get in the can is kind of gross.

I agree with other people...it's alright if you mix it with mayo and relish. Sort of make a salad out of it and then slap it on some toast. But to me, doing that to tuna just seems like a waste. The problem is that the canned stuff is fully cooked, and I just don't particularly like fully cooked tuna. Even at a restaurant, a slab of tuna is godly if it's rare. But that canned crap is the equivalent of ordering a piece of tuna well done. It's not terrible, but it just seems like a waste of a good piece of meat. Tuna is too good to be ruined by being overcooked and then stuffed in a can. They ought to be using one of the lesser fish, some fish which is already pretty much trash in the first place.

Thank you! It's always been a neurotic pet peeve of mine when people say "tuna fish." Just say "tuna" dagnabbit! People don't go around saying "I'm having chicken bird for dinner."
