Reboot has a bad connotation for me, as in throwing out what made the series great and bringing on fresh faces. I'm not pleased with this upcoming Buffy reboot, especially because Whedon's series was fantastic and not even that long ago (by modern television standards). I don't see how they can make it better than the original series without the trademark charm, and I honestly do not see the franchise pulling a Battlestar Galactica and wowing audiences--how serious can you make a sixteen year old girl killing vampires on weeknights, without it being written off as an attempt at edgy and "trying too hard"?
Brought back, I'm still pulling for Arrested Development. I want my movie!

Agreed, we'll get to see just how bad a Buffy reboot is going to be with the new movie. Joss Whedon has nothing to do with it and none of the cast from the TV show will be in it. It's a blatant cash in on the vampire craze that was started by the tweeny garbage that is Twilight.
