Headline News stopped doing their 30-minute news spans 24/7 and now are just another cable news network with horrible Court-TV like investigative shows.
The Learning Channel has stopped showing interesting things like Ancient History Tuesdays and Connections and the like and are now another DIY/Health channel.
History Channel often broadcast shows that would be more appropriate on Discovery (same company) such as Modern Marvels and often don't seem to have any real focus on history at all.
Discovery Channel seems flooded with occupation-based reality shows. Snore. Gimme some documentaries, dangit!
A&E is now basically the 'Detective Network'. They used to have such awesome shows.
No music videos on MTV. Ever.
VH1 is 'The Celeb Channel'.
Sci Fi channel makes such campy B-movie like originals.
The CW and TBS are basically the same dang channel. And TBS doesn't have the night-long B-movie fests like they used to. I miss my cavewomen. :(
TNT is pure syndication so you already see all it's shows on other channels.
G4 what in the heck? Cops, ninjas and cheaters all day (sure it SOUNDS cool...)? On a tech channel?
Sure, there's a few good shows: Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi, Star Trek:TNG Reruns on various channels, a half-handful of adult swim shows, Histories 'Battles BC' was interesting but it's only on once a week, and so on. It's just rare that something's on worth watching.
The 90's were great for TV: Beavis&Butthead, Ren&Stimpy, 120 Minutes, X-Files, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Sliders, My So-Called Life (though it didn't last long, Ancient Warriors and Connections, A&E had awesome biography shows and original productions, Headline News was always a report-based network on 30 minute blocks, MTV still showed mostly music videos, and the list goes on and on.

Seriously, what's on TV that's worth paying attention to? Do you think TV has gone downhill this decade? Or am I just becoming a cynical old man?
