Twitter rape threat to female MPs: Police demand social network tackles abuse by 'trolls'Internet trolls have issued rape and death threats against two woman MPs, it emerged last night.Stella Creasy was told on Twitter she would be tracked down and raped, with the terrifying threat: Shall we meet near your house? She was targeted because she had backed feminist campaigner Caroline Criado-Perez who suffered similarly vile online messages.The second MP, Claire Perry, received death threats relating to her fight against pornography on the internet. In other developments: A senior police chief said Twitter had not done enough to tackle trolls;More than 64,000 people called for the networking service to act against abuse;A man arrested over allegedly harassing Miss Criado-Perez was bailed;TV historian Mary Beard won a grovelling apology from a troll.When Miss Creasy spoke out in support a Twitter user, calling himself @rapey1, threatened: I will rape you tomorrow at 9pm. Shall we meet near your house? Another said: You better watch your back. Im gonna rape you at 8pm and put the video all over the internet.Source.

Do you know that cyber bullies have also make individual's live unbearable outside the net and sometimes they do mean what they say?

what are you going to do, call the cops and say someone over the internet is harassing and threatening you? If you truly feel your life is in danger then yeah contact cops but we are talking about twitter here. All you gotta do is turn off the damn thing.

Which doesn't stop an individual if they mean another harm. I believe threats are against the law....the internet should not be above the law.
