Boxers are almost too well trained. Becasue of the fact that elite boxers are very very tactical and skilled, the fights can get pretty boring. The real excitement is when a boxer makes a mistake and the other guy takes advantage of it. That doesn't happen that often during fights between the best of the best.

[QUOTE="MgamerBD"]MMA we train our whole entire body to the fullest. Each part of a person is a weapon. MMA users study boxing and other martial arts as well.savebattery
An elite boxer would beat an elite MMA fighter in an MMA match. Boxers are far more skilled and far better conditioned. An MMA fighter would never get close enough to the boxer to get him on the ground, and there's no way anyone is taking out Pacquiao or Klitschko on their feet. And this is coming from a very, very big fan of UFC and MMA in general.

Haha, hell no. Not even close.

Sure, the boxer wouldn't get close to a smart mma fighter standing up. They will use push kicks, jabs, and MT kicks to keep him at bay. Also, they MT kicks will slow the boxer down and will make it much easier to take him down with either continued kicks or wrestling/judo.

to say that boxers are better conditioned than MMA fighters is absurd. And a couple leg kicks from a good MMA fighter would be enough to give the MMA fighter enough time to take down the boxer. Once the boxer is off his feet its game over. Submission within seconds.

to say that boxers are better conditioned than MMA fighters is absurd.- I never made that claim, I would say Boxers focus more on conditioning as their fights are capable of lasting longer than an hour, but I boxed and wrestled and they are both tiring as hell, so to say which is more conditioned depends on the fighter.

And a couple leg kicks from a good MMA fighter would be enough to give the MMA fighter enough time to take down the boxer. Once the boxer is off his feet its game over. Submission within seconds. - I highly doubt it would be that simple or the heavy strikers in the UFC would always lose to someone with ground game. Getting close to a boxer is a risky game...very risky...as they are said to hit with the force of sledgehammers, and UFC uses smaller gloves, so getting hit in any one area could lead to broken bones as a smaller glove means less surface area to spread the force across. People seem to think of Boxers as the stand in one place type, and while there are those boxers there are also boxers who just generally never stop moving. The thing is when kicking you have to expose a lot of yourself, and if a boxer is willing to absorb that hit, and counter it...the person kicking would be in an ass-load of a predicament.

This discussion is not black and white. The rules of engagement are different...boxers are discouraged from holding, and staying stationery for long periods of time...while MMA is a lot more lenient in that regard. For the two to even fight, there would need to be a set of rules.
