These are the most underrated bands of the 80s to me.
1. The Teardrop explodes
2. Pulp
3. Faith no more
4. The Jam
5. Talking Heads- Ok I don't know if they were underrated or how popular they were.
6. The Call

[QUOTE="Darth-Caedus"]Faith No More aren't underrated...........at all O_o As for me: Sodom Kreator Over Kill ........basicly every 80s Thrash band that isn't one of the big 4:P TheZ3nMan
Exodus and Testament should have been in the Big Four...and "M16" by Sodom rocks.
Agree, replace Anthrax with Exodus, and just start calling it the big 5 to include Testament:P Got that right:DThat exactly what I said:lol:Kreator
Sodom

Can't say the same for you, unfortunately. Dream Theater is a little too...mainstream for my tastes.

He already did, my friend...
Well the Thrash Union anyways.
I'm one of the few who thinks Dio is also fairly underrated (mostly because he's been forgotten by the new generation of metalheads).
I think Ronnie James Dio's other band Rainbow was. Wait, were they 80s?I'm one of the few who thinks Dio is also fairly underrated (mostly because he's been forgotten by the new generation of metalheads).

No, couldn't have been. Because it went Elf-Rainbow-Black Sabbath-Dio, and he started Sabbath in the late '70s. I guess Rainbow was early to late '70s - WAY ahead of its time.

Ratt and Mercyful Fate Both are my only favorite bands of their respective genres :lol:Toriko42
To tell you the truth, I can't stand either of them. Ratt just isn't unique. I literally can't tell their songs apart from Dokken, and I own most of their albums.

I just like them, I don't know why. I can't get into any other bands like them but I like how they sound. And this is most likely one of the best songs ever :PI'm one of the few who thinks Dio is also fairly underrated (mostly because he's been forgotten by the new generation of metalheads).

I was actually thinking of saying the same thing :)
Dio's band made so many amazing songs...
Dio: Has anybody actually listened to any Dio songs other than Holy Diver? Not really. And that's a shame, because they did make other good songs.
