I thought that first one was just pretty disturbing, which I guess was the intent. Anyway, the f bomb is allowed in Canadian commercials? I thought they censored their television even more than the U.S.

That isn't hilarious. And many of the comments are extremely disturbing, even if they're "jokes."

Canada is WAAAY less conservative on stuff like that. All the provinces i've been to don't have an "R" rating for movies, although i think there is higher, 18-A is the highest i've ever seen, which means as long as you have a parent with you, you're allowed in. Also on the Canadian Comedy Network, Southpark is 100% uncensored.

You read youtube comments?

Sometimes. You always expect to be pleasantly surprised, and you always come away bitterly disappointed. Whenever anyone asks why we have to have mods here, I just direct them to Exhibit A - Youtube comments.

R-rating does exists it's just that it's on the same level (or more) as NC-17 down in the States about 40% of R-rated movie in USA are 14-A here, and the other 60% are 18-A

Nah. 18-A means if you are 18 and over you do not need a parent or guardian, however if you are any age under 18 as long as you have a parent you can get in. You'll see the occasional 8 year old in horror movies and such.

I'm surprised how brutal Canadian PSAs and commercials can be. Remember those accident prevention commercials from a few years back?

You would be hard-pressed to find a COMMERCIAL on any station that contains profanity though. I mean, you might see 5 ads for ED pills in an hour, or a ridiculously sexually suggestive commercial for shampoo, but odds are you're not going to hear any "profane" language, especially in a public service ad.

To elaborate, 18-A allows for anyone under 18 to be accompanied by anyone 18 and over, not just parents. Rated R just means no one under 18 can get in. Period. I worked at an AMC when this change came into effect and the only movies I remember getting an R rating were Kill Bill Vol 2 and Sin City, other than that an R rating is hard to come by.

The people who find them funny are the people that go to horror movies like Saw and laugh out loud when people fall in pits of needles (such as myself). It's the same thing really, different moral behind it all, but it's still a laugh at fake other peoples expenses.

My apologies, I made the wild assumption that the original videos were infact THESE set of videos. The OP's set is not all that funny. However I have no shame in finding humour in the set i posted >_>

Edit: Seeing these on tv really catches you offgaurd, i've seen a different abuse one except a guy is yelling at a woman working at a mc donalds.

pianist

gross, melodramatic exagerations via reenactments are pretty funny imo. I mean, c'mon, we all laughed at Nic Cage yelling "The bees! Oh God the beeeeees!" in the Wicker Man, didnt we?

That is why I laugh at that

the truth is, something like that in real life would be far more terrifying, and people would not laugh.

knowing what we just watched, however, is an act makes it funny.

If you're 17 and its rated R you can get in by yourself. You don't need a parent at 17.

IDK, I found them funny because the scenarios were incredibly unrealistic. No one would ever flip out THAT badly because someone may have spilled the coffee a little. If it actually happened, that's a different story. But I got a kick at its ridiculousness.

Reminds me of this one episode of Cops where this guy said "The women, they must learn to submit" Now that's what always pops in my head when I see stuff like this and I smile a little inside even if it's inappropriate.

That wasn't funny at all. That was actually so sad because it's true. And I've never seen those on TV, or heard anyone drop the F bomb like that on a commercial. But in any case, not funny in the least.

Geese. I'm surprised how many people are so serious about those PSA's. They are ridiculous. I mean the staple throw at the end of the second one. It's like a goofy over the top comedy script.

If I want a PSA to creep me out and actually not be in an unreal scenario I'd watch these two that are much more creepy than a "how dare you correct me about some silly sales percentage now I'm gonna pull my WWF moves on you in public har har"
