97 in the world, I believe, and somewhere around 57 in the US.

It depends where you look. On US Today Berkeley is ranked like #21 or so, and then I've seen it ranked #5 on world rankings. With that said, I checked the first site on your list, but I don't buy it. They overall ranked UCLA ahead of Berkeley and they overall ranked Stanford as #17 which is even more ludicrous when instead it should be in the top 5. I'm in "biomedicine" so I guess #4 for my major for what it's worth according to this site.

Nice. I go to Pitt, but I'm from Philly. Half my high school went to Penn State.

I have no idea how to operate the ranking search thing but I do know that the uni I went to is one of the top 3 ( if not the top ) in my teeny tiny tropical country. Which means that even in the international ranking listings of 1000+, it won't show up.:P

Harvard, didn't bother checking what rank it has though

That said, I'm not taking these rankings seriously, given that, among other things, they list Cornell above Stanford.

I find its not necessarily the curriculum but the admittance standards that matter the most. Programs are ultimately graded on the individuals who graduate.
