Well the thread is metal and if you have no metal then you might as well not be here my sweet walrus.:)


except the fact that (some) metal-core is also considered normal metal. For instance as i lay dying could also be considered thrash metal. Or bullet for my valentine oucld be considered melodic death metal. It really depends on who is catagorizing it. I always wanted to be a walrus though8)

Look for:Manilla Road,Brocas Helm,Valhalla,Battleroar,Gargoyle,Rellik,Dark Quarterer,Riot.Great bands but not that popular

Fall of Serenity, Mnemic, Scar Symmetry, Neaera, Deadlock, and Cataract are all metal bands I listen to, but I don't see anybody else who listens to them..

Iced Earth, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Primal Fear, and Testament... all bands I love. The first 4 are power metal, while the latter is thrash. Do yourself a favor by listening to them. ;)

o, i dont read magazines and dont listen to radio , so i wouldnt know if they were popular now..i just know i liked em before they apparently got popular
