Lots of things can be boiled down to this level of simplicity. I think it actually sounds fairly legit.

Yes they can, and that's why University courses like this are utterly phoney with no practical applications what so ever. I mean what are you going to do with a degree like that? Wait 10 years and become a Lady Gaga impersonator? I'd like to see someone do that simplification for a real science course. It's disgusting that Unis (Whatever you want to call them.) are wasting so much money on crap like this while other realistic courses suffer. This is cheap filler crap to fill out a quota at the expense of everyone else. This is only a very apparent example of that. If you thought it was a good idea you to study this area you do the relevant degree, and you perform research on it. You do not dedicate a freaking degree to it.

It dosn't really matter what you call it, it's still a waste of time and resources.

 Well there's a significant difference between a degree and a class, so yeah it does matter.

A lot of colleges do this kind of stuff with seminar courses which are only offered once and take a new theme every semester. The media likes to take said courses out of context and portray them as a new staple to a college's course offerings whenever said seminar seems outrageous.

She's touring in Europe and finishing her next album that will be released next year.
