The only reason I see all of the Europeans voting Canada is because it's "not the US", regardless if they know next to nothing about both the countries...Oh naive people.

But I'll have to say USA. There's just a lot more opportunity, higher waiges, much larger variety of weather (if you aren't into cold weather, you're screwed with Canada), and it seems to understand itself as a country more. It seems as if Canada is such a young country that it culturally doesn't know what itself is. It seems like Canada is always advertising itself as this multicultural Mecca instead of having developed a culture of its own. As well as the common attitude over there to feel better than America at everything for no reason (maybe it's traditional?).

Well Canada gained independence in 1867 so do the math. Aside from the French parts of Canada, it's really not that old at all.

Plus we have colonisation mainly starting in 1607, adding 169 years. But yeah, we get the point now, big deal.

Canada was also colonized around that time. It didn't just pop into existence in 1867.

I voted USA, Id vote both if I could b/c personally I view Canada and USA as brothers , we are too alike and share too many values to be thought of that differently. Laws and a few other things should be on the back burner here. being on the North American continent we surely share one thing... being Americans I would say the same for South -America-Being part Brasilian.

Hm... the poll is currently tied up at 15/15, HOWEVER, if we take the US' population (300 million) vs. Canada's population (30 million) and put the votes into proportion, we see that the score is ACTUALLY:

Canada - 150

USA - 15

8)

Opportunity is equal, infact we need people up here right now, we have really hot summers and cold winters, but you can avoid the cold easily, as far as the culture I don't understand what you're getting at, we have about the same as you guys with less immigrants.

Either way..... I like both, although I tend to like Canada more, not just because I'm from here but the feeling is different.

It's kind of funny with north america, in Canada you Feel like you're in about5 really big country's and in the US you feel like you're in about 20.

The day the US and Canada start feeling different will be a sad day. I have the feeling most Canadians would agree with me or why would they get involved on our side with global issues, the same for the Britain... remember all of these countries have a large group protesting everything but honestly that wont change much. The majority on the western hemisphere would rather have their yuppie obnoxious US neighbors than Iran or China ruling the world. /end Pro-Western rant

^ actually most places in the states are safer then TO , I mean NY and chicago ect are not, but TO is catching uppretty quickwith all the shootings, but I suppose since it's so big the rougher neighborhoods don't speak for the whole city like anywhere.

The really dumb thing that cought my eye though was how he said "US" (saying he votes it better than Canada) then said "because america", probably thinking they are two different countries. "Oh the US is great, but America sucks"...Make much sense?
