V premier - What did you think?

Anyone else the Premiere of the V remake? What did you think about it?

Personally I thought it was pretty good. I was fearing it would basically be a copy paste type job, but within the first episode, they covered a lot of ground. A lot of the plot points from the miniseries were explored in just 40 minutes. While some people will call this "rushed" I believe it was the smartest thing they could have done. Since they threw so much out there at the beginning, I, as a viewer, am now convinced that this will be an original and exciting show. It won't just retread the path of its predecessor.

Obviously there will be many things in common, but by dealing with so much of the previous iterations story in a single episode, one assumes that the writers have a lot of original content to last through the season. And besides, it's got Tom Baldwin from the 4400 (Joel Gretsch) and Juliet Burke from LOST (Elizabeth Mitchell)....you can't go wrong with that!

So far I give the show a solid 8/10 and will definitely watch the next episode. I heard that they are only releasing 4 episodes before they have a long break...kind of sucks :(

Then again, I live in mexico and TV shows come out late here, so I guess I'll find out later. :P
