Some people need a boot up their ass, up to the ankle. I could maybe understand it if she dropped the F bomb or something, but this is just some douche principal rolling in his own power.

Obviously, the former is the reason the principal is choosing to be an ass... but if the "official" reason is the latter, then he's technically correct in an incredibly anal ticky-tack way.

All she has to do is roll her eyes, go through the motions, and say "I'm sorry for changing my speech". That's it. That's all she has to do. But hey, if she thinks such a petty little thing is worth fighting over, then whatever, more power to her..

I saw this, I hope she doesn't apologize. Not like she actually needs it anyway, as long as she has her high school transcripts, besides she already has been accepted (with I think a full scholarship) to college.

If she really wants to write an apology note though I guess she could always say "I'm so f*cking sorry".

It wasn't only the word 'hell'.

She also added several 'um's and 'ah's that weren't in the draft. :x

In the face of such blatant departures from the approved text, the school had no choice but to administer punishment.

Pretty sure she was accepted on a full scholarship to college... who cares about that diploma now?

Im not worried, that principal is probably getting so much hate from everyone, that he is just going to give it up, anyway.

If not, some kid will sh*t in his desk- I will leave the choice up to him.

This is a non-issue. Have her write the apology, get the diploma, and forget this ever happened.
