Alright, so it seems with most people not being organized enough in school is a problem. My problem however is I am TOO organized. If Chemistry notes are bundled up with Communication Arts Notes or Algebra assignments are bundled in with History assignments I can't stand it. So lately it has begun to annoy my family and they are asking me to stop being so obsessive. What should I do?

Why does it annoy your family if they are your notes. I don't get that

Continue being organized. I'm a mess and I think it lowered my GPA by at least 0.5 if not a full point.

If it only annoys your family try explaining to them that this is how you work and you feel comfortable working like that.
If you can't control it, and it's bothering you, you need to seek help.

The question is: does that level of organising work for you? Does it help you?

Tell your family to leave you alone. Its just school notes, how badly could you organising them annoy them.

I'm wondering why your family gives a rat's ass that your notes are organized well. It's a good thing to be organized.

I can't think of a reason why being too organized would be a bad thing, unless it is to the point of obsession.

My personal disorganization screws with various aspects of my life. GPA, tons of double scheduling, not being able to find something when I need to, the list goes on. Trust me, I would give anything to be somewhat naturally organized. I'd keep doing so were I you.

I'm struggling to understand why anyone would have an issue with how someone else organises their school notes.

I'm not sure what their issue is... So I don't know what to tell you; it doesn't look like you have a problem at all unless you're an organization freak or something.

Keep your issues to yourself. I don't think your whole family needs to hear you rage because a page of notes ended up in the wrong section of your book.

I've personally found that OCD usually correlates with academic success. It seems like every successful undergrad student and all graduate students have OCD, haha...eh, not funny.

Reminds me a good joke i heard on personalitycafe, INFPs spend more time organizing their notebooks than actually doing their homework :P Organizing is fun!
