never had to choose between the two. i could relate to a thread about girls or weed though. I hear girls say "i spent the day watching my boyfriend play video games" i'm like wow video games aren't even that fun anymore and i would feel uncomfortable spending time with a girl while i play video games. when i play gears of war 3 im jumping out of my seat unfocused on the people surrounding

My first thought after reading OP. Mostly because that's how I felt before having a girlfriend. It's best to find a girlfriend who is supportive of one's hobbies and interests, and embraces that part of you, rather than just anyone who gives you the time of day and would probably want someone with different interests. My GF also went from mostly apathetic about games, to really digging several (Assassin's Creed, Batman: Arkham, Call of Duty, Halo and Skate of all things). She doesn't often play (only MW3, and I'm hoping I can get her into Halo, as they are very similar) but really enjoys watching (especially Batman).

Girls (or for me, women) are definitely better but you need to find one who isn't playing games with you (er head games) and who isn't so high maintenance (at least for me) that you have to massage her Ego and buy her things 24/7. I like a gal who's sexy, cool and a real person, they are out there believe it or not.

A little exercise for you guys. Lock yourself up for a week. Make sure that the gas and electric bills are paid, make sure you've got enough food to last you the entire time. Make sure that you can stay in your home for the entire week, without having to leave for any reason. Now get rid of your radio. Get rid of your phones. Take all of your books and take them to a storage facility for a week. Unplug your internet connection. Get rid of your movies and switch out your monitor with one that doesn't get TV reception. Remove all human influence, eliminate the ability for humans to talk to you, and get rid of anything that's even sort of like human contact (such as your mp3's, and the ingredients lists on the stuff in your refrigerator). Now, in this sterile environment, play your videogames. See how long it takes before you start to feel as if you're going insane. Chances are, you can't keep that up for even one week. HUMANS>videogames. Even if you're a heterosexual male, DUDES>videogames. You know the saying "bros before hoes"? As sexist as that is, there's a sound idea behind that. It's the idea that meaningful human interaction is more fulfilling than ONLY sex. Now consider...at least you can have sex with a "ho". Lock yourself in an empty room with ONLY videogames, and even after only a week, let's see how many of you are still saying "bros before hoes, but videogames before bros."
