Vote to Ban All Religion Based Topics by Moderators

They absolutely should be. I dont understand how someone can make a topic that says Christianity is a brainwashing cult, but I make a thread called "Star Wars Quote Conversation" and they lock it and give me a moderation.

And for you people who think youre all smart saying "Just dont click on it" well i honestly dont even want to see a topic saying any religion is a brainwashing cult, i cant help but read the topic now can I?

Yes, you can help it if you have a functioning cerebrum. Which, obviously you do...you seem like an intelligent person. It's a matter of choice. That's what freedom of speech is all about. Some people may voice opinions you strongly agree or disagree with, but to deny those people their freedom to speak shows a leaning toward facism.

Your thread was obviously locked because there was something against the OT rules in it. Some religious threads have probably been locked because there were rules broken in the comment postings.

The mods here are not out to censor a specific POV of the world...they are here to make sure the OT rules are observed.

If religion topics increase the hits on the website they won't ban them. It's almost like we should just make a board for religion.

I know, I meant anything religion related is just irresistible. It's controversial so people participate. It's usually just something offensive or condescending perpetrated by the insolent members. They like to antagonize. Or it's just some inane user full of asinine questions and/or statements.

The laws of free speech don't govern this forum. They're not even applicable here, because this is a private organization. Besides free speech doesn't give anyone the right to harass nor antagonize others. The absence of civility is the problem here.

Well there is a thing called free speech, and if you are to ban threads bashing religious people then you must also ban threads made by religious people bashing non-religious people.braindead_hero

as much as i dont agree with TC, free speech does not exist on GS. GS has its own set of rules that you must adhere to when you sign up here. Thats why you cant even talk about a certain place where channels come in 4's....if you get my drift.
