I have no TV (last appliance I'd EVER purchase)...no Dell computer (last company I'd ever purchase from)...no Ipod (Last mp3 player I'd ever purchase)...I have no electronic appliances outside my computer that I built, my microwave, my fridge and lights.
I know where every single penny that I spend goes. I do not contribute to evil corporations if there is ANY choice in the matter.
The mighty multinationals have monopolized the oxygen so it's as easy as breathing for all of us to participate. Yes they're buying and selling off shares of air, and you know it's all around you but it's hard to point and say "there." So you just sit on your hands and quietly contemplate.
There is a huge difference between money being in the hands of an NWO lapdog and your stupid-giving-out-pennies-for-Halloween neighbors. One party wants to enlsave the world, the other wants to sell bathroom fixtures or something along those lines.

Actually you're telling your interpretation of what is, not necessarily what is.
I'm with DeeJay on this one - I love Walamrt. I've got no qualms with them or their policies. If there's something I can get at WalMart, chances are I'll get it there.
Do you love Walmart or do you hate them
on the plus side they have everything and at cheaper prices than anywhere else
onthe downside they take those other places out of buisness and they dont pay good wages
so where do you stand?
Serraph105
Walmart
Even though I've never been to one.

No such place.

As I said before...I avoid contributing to corporations unless there isn't a choice. They've made it as easy as breathing to participate so in order to survive, you HAVE to contribute to some corporations. Gaming has always been my biggest passion and without it I wouldn't survive...so I contributed to AMD, Nvidia, WD, EVGA, Creative, and Samsung...not exactly killer companies.
Wal-mart doesn't want to enslave the world...but taking the money from the middle ****and re-distributing it to the upper ****is exactly what the NWO is all about. They're lubing the gears of tyranny.
Alex Jones is anything but a fear monger. Just because what he says scares you doesn't mean it's intended to make people afraid. This is Alex Jones
And I'm not arguing...I'm just telling you how it is. D9-THC
Lol.... so any corporation that takes money from the middle/lower c|ass so they can distribute it to the upper c|ass is considered NWO? Well, you just basically described umm.. about 99% of all companies out there. Because that's every company is trying to do.. Get money, keep money, not need to worry about money. WalMart just does it better than most.
It's exactly what AMD is trying to do.. you think that if AMD takes Intel's market share they're just gonna call it gg and go home? Nope, they're not satisfied with 51% market share, they need 100% market share. That's the goal of every company out there. If they had the legal opportunity to do so, they would. There's no difference between Walmart, AMD, Nvidia, Sony, Microsoft, EVGA, Gamespot.. they're all after the same thing; YOUR MONEY.
The only reason you don't hate them is because Alex Jones didn't tell you to.
There's a huge difference between someone giving me useful information and someone trying to shove their sensationalist fairytale bull**** up my ass by using scare tactics, exaggerated events, and out-of-context quotes. Alex Jones is just a fear monger. Nothing more, nothing less.
There's always a giant. They won't last forever. Walmut isn't the first department store with buying power. They will eventually just be another Kmart or Sears.
Only **** holes work at Walmart. Pretty much when you work any low level retail job you are just chump. You do the work, they get rich and they give you the change. Walmart is the worst, The people will actually work there for the pay.
Walmart has buying power. The more they buy the more they save. They can afford to pay their employees just as much as anyone else but they don't because they can always find jerks that would work for 50 cents an hour.
Walmart is like any other department store. They have good prices on certain things but they don't have the best prices on everything. So it depends on what you buy. Between shopping at Kmart and Walmart you break even.
All ofthe department stores keep the junk stores in business. That's who they wholesale all of their surpluse merchandise to. Big Lots and the other thrift stores.
As a Mom & Pop venture youmust market the right products. FAD products, the products that the yuppies and teenagers will pay whateverfor.THESE products are overpriced and make roughlyfive to tentimes what they are worth in profit. Then you can afford to sell old merchandisefor less than you paid for it.
Walmart tried to put other major competitors out of business with their "Who can afford to lose more money" tactics but it didn't work.
You can't stay mom & pop forever. At one point you're gonna have to make it or break it. Either build up or shot down. Enterprize is competitive.
I can't understand why some of you people expect Walmart to shell out the big bucks to cashiers. Most of you are in your teens right? I would imagine that most of you have, or had a job as a bus-boy or register monkey or whatever. Honstly do you really think you should be able to earn a livable wage doing that kind of work? There will always be more people to do low skilled labor. I don't think it would be rational to expect ANY company to pay a high wage for that kind of work.Frattracide
You may want to look at a company called Costco. Employees there do similar jobs as Walmart employees yet start off around $10-$12 (I think it actually may be more). Costco receives hundreds of apps a day and has been voted one of the best places to work. The companies CEO is among the least paid CEO's, at under $500k....go check out how much those greedy Walmart executives make. Pay your employees more, educate them = better env for them and customers.
OK so a corporation wants to be nice. That doesn't mean they have to. To expect a business to pay more than what somebody is worth is asinine. Greedy is a sensationalist word, it means nothing. What your are trying to do is demonize profit motive, the back bone of our society. The whole reason our cushy lives exist in the first place is because "greedy" people tried to improve their own situation and excelled at it You sure are generous with other people's money.Frattracide
Yeah, because $500 K a year is totally not a lot of money. When you are making money off of the backbones of all of your employees, it had damn well better be 9 figures.
It's just like Henry Ford said:
"There is one rule for industrialists and that is: make the shoddiest quality of goods possible at the lowest cost possible, paying the lowest wages possible. "

People do not HAVE to work for walmart they can go elsewhere. You are the product of the decisions you make in your lifetime. IF the only way you can make a living is through low skilled labor It might be time to reassess your life direction.

I suppose by your logic nobody should be working at Wal-Mart...or any other store for that matter.

NO, by my logic, the people that are in a position to work at walmart are not in a position to be pulling in the big bucks. To get mad at a company that pays a wage commensurate with the level of wok being done because YOU don't think it is "fair" or "right" or, whatever is asinine.
I hate them - the only reason they can afford such low prices is because they have people in other countries working for pennies a day. The Wallman family are disgusting pigs. They don't even help their other family members out, like their grandparents. They had a relief fund for their Walmart employees for natural disasters, do you know how much they payed toward it? 6,000 dollars! When everyone else raised about a million, they only donated 6,000 dollars. They never give to charity and are some of the greediest, meanest people you will hear of. They're some of the richest in the entire world and give almost nothing to charity. They wouldn't even help their sickely grandmother._Marisa_
How do you know their grandmother deserved to be helped? She shouldn't receive any special treatment just because she happens to be related by the chain of birth.

Tell that to 150,000 autoworkers that have been laid off in Michigan, people have to eat and pay bills you know. You know its pretty screwed up when there's more Walmart jobs available then manufacturing, and engineering jobs. Have you ever wondered why the American dollar is now worth less thenthe Canadain dollar and hasbeen declining over the past 20 years? I'm sorry but a nation cannot sustain itself on a workforce employed by companies offering low paying jobs in which products are not even made here. There's also the fact that our country is spending over 10% of its annual national budget on a "war" that was based on a lie and refuses to create NEW govt projects to stir the economy. AND WHAT DOES EVERYONE DO ABOUT IT? NOTHING! THEY SIT ON THERE A**, HOPE THINGS GET BETTER AND ITS NOT!

1) You chose to ignore my question.
2) According to the method by which Socrates analysed concepts, if there was a generality, and it failed on a specific point, the entire thing failed as a consequence. That and it just struck a personal chord with me, being asI hate my aunt and would not mind if she was dead and my grandmother not far behind at times.
3) Don't roll your eyes at me. :P
*sigh* WalMart has that option, you know. It's not like they pay below the minimum wage. People are willing to work there for those prices.. it's this thing called a "free market." It's really nifty, you guys should check it out sometime. People decide what price they are going to offer their services for and another person or entity pays them for that work.
Perhaps you guys should start trying to increase the minimum wage.. we'll see how that helps the economy.

They are talking about getting products overseas is what they are talking about. Those people making those products are esentially only working for pennies an hour.

That reminds me. Did you guys know that the minimum wage for retaurants with waiters and waitresses who make tips is somewhere around $2.50 an hour? I think that's about where it is.

No a lot of people are bringing up the low wage they offer american citizens.. WalMart is not the only one with shops all over the world btw. There are millions of companies that do that, and there's a reason for it.

Yup, because they make money off of tips.. and it's why I always tip generously. :P
