I think it is THE hardest one to learn, because every rule is broken at some point in a conversation.

Bon jour ma ami. (I may have said that wrong...)

Anyways, my advice is take some formal classes on the lanquage. You might want to try the "Rosetta Stone" program. English is one of the hardest lanquages to learn.

Good luck!

There are great programs like Rosetta Stone that help people learn new languages. Try one of them and see if it works.

EDIT: Dang the guy above me beat me to it!

I agree with looking into Rosetta Stone. The only thing that is keeping me away from purchasing one of their products is the price D:

Lol, sometimes I wish I wouldve paid attention more than I did. I paid attention quite literally JUST enough to pass last year and the year before that so I could get my 2 Foreign Lanquage credits.

I always enjoyed it, though the college classes are quite difficult. If you're not into it, I would definitely not recommend pursuing it because it gets really hard later on.

Even with the exceptions English is one of the easiest languages to learn. You can very quickly learn enough English so that people can understand you.

I recommend reading alot. Ask in large bookstores for novels that are either in English and French or with difficult vocabulary explained in French. Reading will give you a feel for the language and find stuff that you are interested in like movies and music and actively listen to them!

The hardest part, but also the most important (I am assuming that you are still living in France) is to find native English speakers and to practice. The sooner you start to speak the sooner you will be able to conquer English.

I'm mexican but I was lucky enough to learn it from a very early age (5 or 6 I think), and now you really couldn't tell which one is my native language, I've been complimented on my english level by american, canadian and british people. :D

But anyway, I thought english speakers had a harder time learning spanish?

I also used Rosetta stone for a month, but I think it's useless unless you are living in the country. Trust me, Minna no Nihongo books are relatively new, come with a CD and are also used in universities. You have one book entirely in Japanese and one with explanations and translations.

They are also easy to use. I learned Japanese using German books and even though it wasn't my mother tongue I was able to keep with the others in my class.

What books are you using? I really recommend the Minna no Nihongo books. They are excellent for practicing grammar and useful vocabulary.

My advice to you is to immerse yourself in the English language. That means, watching tv shows in english, watching movies in english, listening to music in english, reading in english, going to websites (like this one) in english, etc. Eventually, it will stick and you will be able to speak it perfectly.

Just conversate with people. You'll eventually pick it up. English, like most languages, varies by location, though.

But vocabulary isn't enough,I have to make right sentence...I want to be bilingual.
