I would never join the military because of intense hatred. Join because of your desire to serve your nation, desire to improve yourself, desire to serve, etc. but don't join for hate.

I doubt you'll find many in the military that want to fight alongside Rambo. They tend to die.

It takes more than good physique to be a good solider. If you are thinking of serving your country and your fellow men, by all means, be all that you can be. If you are trying to find meanings (in life, I assume?), I would ask you to really think it through. I'm not trying to be negative here and deter your ambitions, but joining the military is not something to throw around lightly, it is not something you can just "try out" and decide to see if it fits.

If you think that is your meaning in life, all I can say is, good luck and you have my utmost respect.

Join the military with hatred in your heart and first time you face those you hate you die ,simple as that .

As for advice you seek ,remember army life is very boring,99.9 % of you time will be spent killing boredom/saluting this or that prick/guard duty/cleaning this or that.Man army life is boring, if you're seeking excitement do something else with your life, something more suited to you.

If you're gonna take a step like that in your life take it in a big way... I'd say go Navy and go for SO (Special Warfare Operator)... your reasons are your reasons, but make sure that you are taking this step for the right reasons and not potentially mis-guided ones...

DON'T get a semper fi tatoo until after you finish boot camp. I'm not enlisted yet, but i pt w/ the marines at the local recruitment office every friday. One day someone who wanted to enlist came in w/ the tatoo and one of the ladies saw it and went hysterical, i laughed.

Judging by your grammer i'd say you're young (no offense), if so then wait and actually contemplate this major decision, also as previously stated if you're planning on joining due to "hatred" as you put it, i'd reconsider.

I suggest you don't go into the military, Especially for that reason.

If you are, get a better reason.

I am pretty sure that excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written, would be needed for military service. How are you going to fill out the proper forms if you can't write information correctly? Everything in the military is done by E-mail, written mail, documents, or whatever else.

You need to be mentally, physically, and emotionally tough. Also, there are standards to be kept. Contact a local recruiter for more information. I would highly suggest not joining the military because of hatred. If you want to serve your country, by all means, please do, but keep the integrity of the military by not joining for reasons of taking out your anger on people you hate.

supposing you asked all your family and friends, do you know any one who has been in the military personally? Also, what exactly do you know about the military and it's requirements? What was your ASVAB score? If it was high and your exceptionally intelligent, you should consider air force or navy unless your heart is set on infantryman. In that case, like a said, join the marines. Every marine is an infantryman first. Then, like i said, go to scout sniper school, then MARSOC.

wait a few years. Really contemplate the decision. It's a really tough decision. I knew alot of people like you that joined for your exact same reasons and once they were in, it wasnt at all what they expected and hated it.

It's at least 4 years you have to serve. That's a long time. So you better know if you really want to do it.

Have you considered a career with McDonalds? They're always looking for young men willing to take orders unquestioningly and go through "the worst hell imaginable" to serve their countrymen. Plus, there's a higher chance of retaining most of your limbs.

Being ex military, having served as a peacekeeper in East Timor for the NZDF, I'd say you're going to get rearranged if you join up on the basis of an angry young man. Get in there, work hard, don't speak unless spoken to, and volunteer for absolutely everything they have for you, and you'll get through recruit course.

I don't think so. It's the frustrated and disgruntled that make good soldiers, I think. My brother was a huge misanthrope when he enlisted, and he got top cadet in basic, and other distinctive certificates.

"I was just thinking one thing when we drove into that ambush. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. I felt like I was living it when I seen the flames in the windows, the car blowing up, guys crawling around shooting at us. It was so ****ing cool."

You can't say that people like that aren't human, because they are just like any of us. More importantly, they are the ones getting their hands dirty, while we live our safe lives in our own country

Better to clean tank with toothpick then to get killed because some stupid officer just out of academy gives you crazy orders( go attack that MG head on or such).

Over here on recruit course we have something called the PQ (Personal Quotient), which is used as an assessment of your personal suitability to base-side life. Basically, if the NCO's remember you as someone who put their name forward and willing to do the hard yards early, you pretty much get a free ride towards the end of the course.

Well if you are going because of hatred and other reasons I recommend you join the Army and go to ranger school. The training you will recieve will assist you, and they train you to love killing so its doesnt matter about the hatred. Only downfall is some people lose their minds during ranger school so be mentally fit as well as physically fit. I guarantee you will come back a completely different person. I didnt go ranger but my close friend who is in Iraq did go ranger and it completely transformed him. You can join the military for any reason you want it doesnt matter what the reason is. From my experience I met people who joined because of boredom, just felt like it, gf dumped them, fiance cheated, tired of selling drugs, tired of going to jail, to prevent from going to jail, wanted to kill, wanted to try it out, college money etc. My reason was the second one and no matter the reason they were/are good soldiers.

if you must join, join where there are some intelligent people... go either Air Force, Coast Guard (If u love water), or Navy...

DO NOT GO ARMY OR MARINES unless you want a bunch of mindless idiots barking at you all the time.

good luck!!

and oh yeah, it sucks :) hope u know what ur doing...

My life is no where safe in my country the media may portray the country i live in as safe , but i say otherwise. I had threats of being slashed , stabbed , gutted and so on just because the person was board had nothing else to do. That was in school and he police did not want to do anything about it.
