War is Peace

"War is Peace": This, ironically enough, is a stronger peace than any other Utopian ideal, because there can never be any strong resistance within the nation for fear of creating the weakness the enemy could exploit and then overthrow.

Just a little snippet of the "War is Peace" meaning from 1984. 1984 is an incredible book that everyone needs to read once just to see where were headed today. ;)

I'm not a crazy nutcase or anything but like many people, I have VERY LITTLE trust in the American government. The Espionage Act of 1917 which is still here today as well as the Patriot Act of 2001 have defintely put my loyalty on hold.

What say you about 1984 and the world today in relation to it?

We had to read the book Fahrenheit 451 and there was an interview in the back where the loser that wrote the book said F451 had a message that 1984 was unable to fully explain or something like that and I literally said ********

Most people have to read it in High School, but it is sad and ironic at the same time. One of the book's message is that "Ignorance is Strength." :P
