Sex scenes aren't necessarily tacked on. There's many movies where the sex scenes were fine. And where did I say they all were? It sounded like it when you said "I don't like tacked on anything". But I realize you meant exclusively tacked on sex scenes, my mistake.
They used Leonard Cohen for a sex scene? This is now the creepiest celluloid shag ever, overtaking Slither's alien impregnation whilst playing Air Supply's "Every Woman in the World".
The scene kind of made me laugh. It was in the graphic novel, though... apparently. I haven't read it yet, because the only one I've seen so far was a $50 hardcover edition... But anyway, it didn't really bother me.
I would rather have had some Death Metal growling in the background than the hallelujahs. lulz haha, ok that was a bit..lame:P but still. everywhere and everyone talks about the sex scene's in it. or Dr manhatten's Penis jeez!!!!!!!!
i think its just that EVERYONE has seen it, where as any other nude scene movie only a certain amount of people would see it

It was to show a point in the novel that before he resumed his role as nite owl, the state of the world and all the rorshach visits and his self image of his current self have left him "unable to preform" and that at that moment after reclaiming the title and saving those people, he got caught up in such a wave of excitement from the glory days that BAM! permance re-enabled. Better in the comic book because it's not so graphic and clearly doesn't have leonard cohen's hallelujah playing in the background, but still a pivotal scene.

Anyone else find that highly unnecessary and hilarious? In the background there was that Alleluia song, that was hilarious. Then when the orgasms came the fire came out of the ship:lol: I mean come on, highly unnecessary and I think the movie would have been better without it, it was like a soft core porno for a little bit.

This is very true, the music in the second half of the watchmen didn't fit in at all with the movie, especially the song in the sex scene. Rather than stare at the naked chick with the hot as hell boots on, I couldn't help but laugh at this sappy piece of 80's crap and wonder why the 300 director would pick it, as it subtracted quite a lot from the scene. P.S. I did think it was hilarious that all the religious nuts were calling for an x or nc17 rating because their stupid little bastard kids might see breasts or a blue dick. They seriously need to thump their bible someplace else and keep their kids out of an R-Rated move which clearly states graphic nudity in the rating info.
Way too drawn out and overdone for my tastes. The entire time I'm sitting here thinking: "Mass Effect got labeled a "porn simulator" for a brief clip of animated alien nudity where you really can't see anything...and nobody raises an eyebrow at this? Proof definite that no news show or politician REALLY cares about video game sex. They just want they 'family values' votes." I'm not saying that sex scenes aren't occasionally needed or appropriate in a movie, but this one was just bad.
Yes, but in the graphic novel it happens off the proverbial screen...and with out a horrible soundtrack to accompany it which made the whole thing terribly uncomfortable to watch. And...that about summarizes how I felt about the sex scene in the movie.
