Tell us what you're reading and what you think of it!

I just finished The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck, and it was indescribably amazing. I couldn't recommend it enough.

I'll be reading The Lovely Bones next.

I'm not much of a reader...But I really enjoyed Zombie Survival Guide,I'm rereading it now.
If anyone has some good books about a zombie apocalypse,I'm open to the suggestion.

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Even though I don't agree with her philosophy, its a great book so far, even though I'm only about 250 pages into it.

You must tell me how TLB is. I'm interested in reading it myself. I just started "Skeleton Crew" by Stephen King last night. It's a short story collection and the first is "The Mist"

Next I'll be reading Coming Out of the Closet and Breaking the Chains By Tascha Dresser. Can't say I really wanna talk about this one either. . . yet

Ohhhh. I spent my most recent summer on that. It's worth it. Have fun with the next 80%, though. :3 I'm reading Coming Up For Air by George Orwell currently.

Collection of H.P. Lovecraft works for me. Let's see, so far we've got Orwell, Rand, Lovecraft and The Zombie Survival Guide. Yup, I'm definitely in GS off-topic.

I'm three chapters in. It starts off depressing and with one tiny gaffe that left me going "Huh?" when I read it, but otherwise it seems to be pretty good so far.

The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.

It's a short book so I sould be done with it; however, I might find myself rereading it so I can get the main point of the novel. If I do get the main point, next book Les Miserables. :D

If John Steinbeck and Ayn Rand ever met eachother, I have no doubt that something akin to a barfight would have ensued.

The New Centurions by Joseph Wambaugh. It's pretty good so far. It follows several characters in the LAPD in 1960. It's well written and it flows rather nicely

I was almost the opposite. I agreed with her philosophy most of the time, but didn't like the story as much because thought that most of the protagonists were arrogant pricks. That's just me though.

Storm of Swords, I'm about 1/3 of the way through. Just about as good as the first two in the Song of Ice and Fire series, so far.

And I'm just about done with Death From the Skiesby Phil Plait. The Bad Astronomy Blog is the only blog I read daily, and his book is just as enjoyable as his daily posts. I'd recommend it to anyone who's into pop-science books.
