Tell us what you're reading and what you think of it!
I just finished The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck, and it was indescribably amazing. I couldn't recommend it enough.
I'll be reading The Lovely Bones next.

I'm reading Sex for Dummies byDr. Ruth Westheimer. I don't really wanna talk about it. . .
Next I'll be reading Coming Out of the Closet and Breaking the Chains By Tascha Dresser. Can't say I really wanna talk about this one either. . . yet
Ohhhh. I spent my most recent summer on that. It's worth it. Have fun with the next 80%, though. :3 I'm reading Coming Up For Air by George Orwell currently.Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Even though I don't agree with her philosophy, its a great book so far, even though I'm only about 250 pages into it.

You must tell me how TLB is. I'm interested in reading it myself. I just started "Skeleton Crew" by Stephen King last night. It's a short story collection and the first is "The Mist"aaronmullanI'm three chapters in. It starts off depressing and with one tiny gaffe that left me going "Huh?" when I read it, but otherwise it seems to be pretty good so far.
The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.
It's a short book so I sould be done with it; however, I might find myself rereading it so I can get the main point of the novel. If I do get the main point, next book Les Miserables. :D
I have both but I haven't read either. How is Insomnia?Insomnia by Stephen King. I'll be picking up The Eyes Of The Dragon by him next

La Alquimista, which in English is The Alchemist. I'm reading it for my Spanish class. Apparntly it's pretty famous.
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Even though I don't agree with her philosophy, its a great book so far, even though I'm only about 250 pages into it.

I was almost the opposite. I agreed with her philosophy most of the time, but didn't like the story as much because thought that most of the protagonists were arrogant pricks. That's just me though.
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, I really like it so far.black_tempestHave you seen the movie? It's great.

No not yet, I actually started reading the book because my friend told me how great the movie was. I'm definitely going to watch it when I finish the book Its quite brutally artistic. I'd recommend it but it's not for the squeamish!
Storm of Swords, I'm about 1/3 of the way through. Just about as good as the first two in the Song of Ice and Fire series, so far.
And I'm just about done with Death From the Skiesby Phil Plait. The Bad Astronomy Blog is the only blog I read daily, and his book is just as enjoyable as his daily posts. I'd recommend it to anyone who's into pop-science books.
Grapes of Wrath was awesome. It was probably the only book in my HS English class I actually enjoyed.TauruslinkI know, it was the best American book I've ever read. I just can't believe how pertinent the book is even today. I want to read everything Steinbeck now; the man was a genius.

I really like the Pendragon books.
I like them too, but the tenth one was disappointing. :( You've read them? :o I haven't gotten to the tenth one yet. Shame to hear it disappointed you. Please Log In to post.
