The isn't a world food shortage. If a person in america can eat all they want, but someone in Africa can;t, doesn;t that say that there's excess in one place but not another, not there's a shortage all over? It's a matter of logistics. For one reason or another food can't make it all around the world easily, because of war or economies etc I don't have the link to the article so you'll have to take my word for it.

The real problems though are oil consumption and global warming. If oil runs out then we're ****ed. Oil reserves will run out/be on the decline in 5 years, and China and India want to increase their usages to American standards?

The problem here is not natural resources or production.

It is humanity.

Wow once again, the food shortages are leading to drastically rising food cost incase tou hadn't noticed, as well to there higher cost they are packaged smaller now. Secondly the constraints on oil is killing our us economy with the price of gas raising over 70% over the last 4 years.

Lastly After another response from yourself absent of any factual evidence, I replied with a explanation to my previous statement.

Food prices are rising because of higher gas prices, Higher Gas prices doesn't equal overpopulation. It equals over usage of fossil Fuels, I hardly think that counts as any means of evidence, and yes I did provide you evidence on low birth rates, which if you took the time to look at you'd know we were in serious trouble.

Once again the biggest culprait in higher food prices is lack of supply, its a concept you might know its called supply and demand, also according to your logic the world population would be decreasing. 17 Years ago there were 5 Billion people on this planet now there are 6, let that marinate.

Really? Overpopulation doesn't seem to be much of a problem. I never hear about it being a problem. The only places I know of that have ever had problems with overpopulation is china and India.

Besides, even if overpopulation became a bigger, worldwide issue, I'm sure we could think of better ways to handle it than have a disease kill millions of innocent people.
