We should bring back the military draft!

I believe the draft would be good. I would go but I'm too old, so you youngens can go protect me! Plus it would build up a young guy's self esteem and they would get to see the world for free!

Plus, with the threat of Iran, North Korea and China it would be a good idea.

Maybe Mccain, once elected, will put the draft back into place.

not to mention the chance to see your comrades die horribly right in front of you. seeing innocent people dead/brutally injured and wondering if you're ever going to see your family again. Don't make war out to be some glorified parade in which everyone comes home. becauyse they don't. Also, forcing people into draft would put people in charge of your life who dont even want to be there, do you realize what this would do??? It would make them care less seeing as how they don;t want to be there and MORE people would die.

I do hope you are joking. The draft is generally viewed as slavery, and it would totally destroy America, as there hasn't been a draft since 1973.

Currently, over 4,000 military men and women have lost their lives in Iraq. It's tragic, but that would be much higher if there was a draft.

So, in other words, if you're drafted and you're killed, your government has just murdered you.

We have plenty of people signing up for the military already. Besides, if you are drafted, that means you can't join the Marine Corps, which is the best branch of the military.monkeytoes61
