Depend on your view of popular. It is a very weird case for me. I'm the shy guy who usually keeps to himself so I'm not "popular" but most people like me. Jocks, nerds, emos, ect all like me. The only people that don't like me are douches. :3 Most people I know hates them.
Middle school: Heck no, I had no friends and was constantly picked on.
High School: Still no, I'm in my freshman year, I have as many friends and I can count on one hand, I always sit alone at lunch, and I'm pretty sure no one, besides my classmates, know who I am. My high school is only about 400 kids so that might change once I get more comfortable and meet more people but...
That's fine I suppose, I AM there for an education after all and I have enough friends to make it by.
I wouldn't say popular, but I was well liked I suppose. Vote into student council 3 out of 4 years (only 4 positions open), but certainly not homecoming king material :P
I was a geek in middle school! But we had a big crowd, so it wasn't bad. Plus the hottest girl in our grade asked me out at the end of our middle school year so that made up for it. In HS, I just stayed to myself most times and got them awesome grades. It landed me in a nice community college. lol
Middle school : We were all a group, so nobody really stood out...we all got along fine, it was awesome High school : I just blended in with the crowed....so many people here, but I had enough friends.
I guess I was, now that I think about it, but my school only had about 1000 students total. However, it was never anything that I strove for, and it would have been alright with me if I wasn't (as long as I would have been able to still chill with my favorite group of folks).
Nope, wasn't popular in high school, mostly because I didn't give a **** what people thought about me, I just wanted to do my thing, get above average grades and head back home... I was more of a loner, playing video games, reading books, etc. 10 years later (ouch!), I'm a pretty popular guy at work and I have an easy time getting along with people, because, well, when people grow up (become adults I should say) they realize that the best thing you can do is care about yourself and what YOU have to do... They like me because I'm self confident, knowledgeable and am not scared to let my opinions known.
Is middle school the same as secondary school in the UK?
If so, then I guess i'm kinda popular but more well known really. My year group is sadly divided into groups, not by what we wear or stereotypes but just the friends and I'm the one who is welcome in all of them and I try and organize lots of things so people come together. I'm an all rounder but I do have my core friends :)
Not really in middle school, school was really big didn't like it that much.
My high school was about the same size as my 7-8 school and I was very popular. Everyone knew me but mostly because I could get contraband and generally made life difficult for the teachers.
Yes, I was quite popular in highschool although I didn't care much for the attention. I hung out with many different groups of people that otherwise would never hand out with each other.
