[QUOTE="Atheists_Pwn"][QUOTE="Person0"][QUOTE="Atheists_Pwn"] "A multiple layered defense" How?

The HIPS looks for suspicious behavior and flags programs, then if i dont know what it is i mark an untrusted and the file will not be able to do anything. If i am going to sketchy websites then saferun(sandbox) makes it so that anything changed or download with the internet is isolated and deleted right when i close the internet. On top of that i have 98.00% detection rate on signature scans so, i am relatively safe.

sandboxing is usually safe, but some sandboxing software has proven to not work well in some cases

Usually it does, and i also have signatures and Hips to protect me if sandbox fails.

True, but if a virus gets past the other three I can remove it from the registry. That's all I use CCleaner for anyway. Should I start recommending Avast to friends if they want to know what anti-virus to get?
