To my knowledge, there are no mentions of drug use in the bible. But the bible mentions to follow the laws of the land, so if something's illegal, I'm inclined TO NOT do it. That's just me, though.

I'd say he'd be against it, since drugs of any kind, lower your free will. You are more likely to do things, and make different decisions high than when you aren't. And since it lowers your free will it lowers you as a human being looking in terms of your soul (intellect, free will) are apart of you. Chances are Jesus used some types of drugs that were legal back then but not legel now. Therefor I have come to the conclusion that God doesn't care.

I think that shrooms are amazing, so god gets a point for making those, regardless of whether or not I'm supposed to eat them.

God created all the plants and animals on the planet. Marijuana is a plant.

Also, wine is a central symbol in Catholic ritual practice. Alcohol is a drug.

He views it as sorcery, which is not about a guy pulling bolts out of his fingers, but someone who makes drugs, I believe that is what his view is.

Well, I know the bible condemns alcohol use, [Ephesians 5:18] but I don't know about other drugs. That said, just because the "bible" condemns it doesn't mean that "god" condems it; we can't even be sure if this "god" exists (or if there is only one) so I think the assumption that a particular book somehow speaks for this "god" is questionable at best.

So you accept that there is a safe way to drink alcohol, but think that all drugs are damaging to the body and are therefore bad?

I don't know about that part, (I'm guessing it was the case, though... last supper?) but it says "do not get drunk with wine"; so, at the very least, they're saying not to drink to get drunk. So if Jesus ever got drunk off the wine, that's basically another case of the bible contradicting itself.

He is testing your will - will you go against his rules and give in to your pleasure, or will you sumbit to god ;) You don't have to believe the above statement, but don't act as if making drugs a sin is some huge contradiction.

It also has a long history as a drug culture. I mean opium and hasheesh are two of their primary exports, and hooka bars are common in most cities.

Afghanistan is hardly the example of the most Islamic country. Probably the best example of an "Islamic" (more like just the Taliban's interest... meh, politicians will be politicians) state gone terribly wrong...

Some people are curious as to how it would feel to kill someone. Take the example of the 5 year old kid who killed his 2 year old sister (not sure if the ages are right) because he wanted to know how it would feel.

Not sure about what the Bible says, but the Vaisnava point of view is that drug use is a form of personal intoxication. Drug use(or any other form of intoxication) is a materialistic desire, and the more one stays intoxicated, the more trapped he/she becomes in the material world. Obviously, this doesn't apply to all Hindus, but some strict sects prohibit any form of drug use.

The bible says nothing about drugs, or anything that wasnt discovered yet (like dinosaurs) at the time everyone made it up.

one of the many dead giveaways of it being stupid to belive these days.

You can easily go access the National Institute on Drug Abuse, which provides numerous links to studies on all of these criteria, and there are thosuands of articles floating around in the databases.

No.Link us to a specific one yourself that says that.
