[QUOTE="rawsavon"][QUOTE="Ilovegames1992"]Excercising is something you should naturally be doing anyway isn't it?Ilovegames1992

so you define a hobby as something you should not be doing?

No, but is eating a hobby? Is walking...?

I just don't see it as a hobby, more a necessity.

most would probably define a hobby as something you do for some personal value/gain/enjoyment/etc. walking, working out, etc easily fall into that category ...only a fool deals in absolutes (one thing or the other). the two things do not have to be mutually exclusive

if you enjoy doing it and do do it for reasosn other than you have to like having fun for example then yes id consider it a hobby.

Exercising is most certainly a hobby, if you do it for enjoyment purposes it counts. For example I walk a treadmill 3 miles a day and hate every minute of it, so I wouldn't count it as a hobby.

I LOVE to cook, so I consider it a hobby, it's just a bonus that I receive nourishment from my hobby :P

[QUOTE="Gen007"]Exercise - surprisingly relaxing and a good stress reliever plus you feel great afterwards.

Ilovegames1992

Never got this. That never ever happened for me.

Also, is excercising really a hobby?

You mean the relaxation / stress reliving part? It really does for me. Sometimes i get home after a tuff day and it really does help me feel better. I focus less on my daily problems and just on working out. By the time im done im usually worn out and good take a good long nap then i wake up later felling great maybe a little sore but great nonetheless.

Yeah. I tried it a few times. But instead of relieving stress, i would just be stressed AND tired and sweaty.

Its just one of those things that doesn't happen to me. Maybe i'm just different.

Yeah it def isn't for everyone i guess. For you maybe its more like work that you'd rather not be doing which is why you'd dont get the same effect.

Guess so.

I just gave up after a few attempts.

Getting fat is a lot easier.

You Geocach? I heard about that a while ago, but I never got into it. It sounds like it would be a fun hobby.

Been amateur bodybuilding for a year, great fun and a big change in my mood and energy. It's probably more of a life style but w/e. I've no time for other hobbies, nearly done with uni so my life's not set in a stable routine and won't be for a few months.

It's great. There are spots to find pretty much anywhere you are. It's something I always try to do when on vacation.

Playing guitar, reading books thick enough to make some people faint, and listening to great music (mostly rock, hardcore, and all their alt's).
