o yeah and that movie Clock Work Orange bsman00
My 12 year old brother watched that once, but really there's nothing that horrible in it. It's all too stylized for me to take the violence seriously.

Cause there was plenty of rapin' to go around in that one.
Thai horror film Shutter is pretty freaky.
Also a certain scene of Pan's Labyrinth freaked the hell out of me, which is odd because it wasn't a horror film at all (fantasy/war).
Honestly I've never particularly been properly freakeds out by a movie. I have jumped one or two times at loud noises or something sudden happening (like the ring or the grudge) but I've never really been scared enough to warrant mentioning a movie as "freaky". The Blair Witch did make me feel awfully suspenseful though, does that count?
Oh and signs is the least scary movie ever made.

Was it when that monster had eyes on his hands? That was awesome.
Yeah, that was it. Also, despite my utter desensitisation to violence (Saw films have no effect on me fior instance), that bottle scene near the beginning made me quite uncomfortable, for some reason. Probably becuase I wasn't expecting it, I thought it would a PG-13 kind of movie (never noticed the "18+" on the box).[QUOTE="KLAX42"][QUOTE="ithilgore2006"]Thai horror film Shutter is pretty freaky.

Saw seemed like nothing, but when that guy came at him with the bottle I was shocked.
I love horror movies and one of the films that i saw when i was around 8 or 9 was Valantine....i couldnt sleep for like a week after seeing it...that guys mask still makes me shiver now 6 years on...and btw even though its called Valantine it is actually a horror film and im not just being silly. Also alot of you have talked about IT, trust me, read the book its so much scarier and better than the film. Also, when i go to my dads me and my brother usally watch a film before going to bed and i always fall to sleep during them, the only film i havnt fallen asleep in is the SAW films i highly recomend them aswell.behem0th2471st was ok, 2nd was awesome, 3rd and 4th sucked. IMO of course

First was better than the second. The last two did suck, though.

That was an odd reaction actually, in Saw you've got people's ribs ripped out and their entrails pouring out of them, and people sliced apart by razor wire, yet the bottle smacking in PL was far more disturbing to me, even though it's not as bad on paper. No idea how that works. Maybe it was the throwaway...eh, way, it was shown, in Saw there's a big build-up to the gratuitous violence, which I think makes it almost the attraction of the films to people, to see these creative ways to mutilate. In PL it was just a random and sudden violent act.No wonder we're desensitized.
Oldboy.
It's a Korean thriller, I recommend everyone watch it. And do not spoil it for yourselves. Watch it all the way through and I gaurantee for a week your mind will be going "WTF WTF THAT'S SO ****ED UP!!!"
Red-XIII
It wasn't so disturbing, a little nasty and thoroughly unexpected but nothing that would totally freak you out. The sixth sense had a better twist imo.
The 1st time i saw Misery with James Caan......the thing she did with the sledgehammer :?, that kinda freaked me out.Honenheim
I loved that bit, it was totally out of the blue.
Kazaam! the movie... I still haven't quite recovered from seeing that film. :?freakyzeeky1986Shaq was robbed of an Oscar.
i kept waiting for Session 9 to get good. It has promise i just kept waiting and waiting for it to really take off, but it never did :(
The grudge was pretty scary in the theatre. The music and sound were implemented extremely well.
The 3rd movie in the original trilogy of terror scared the bejesus out of me when i was little. That little tiki doll running around. I would like to see it now to see how corny it is now. I saw trilogy of terror 2 or 3 recently, and that one was woefully awful.

The plot twist was only a *little* nasty? It was downright messed up! Then the antoganist plays the audio over and over again to the guy... C'mon that whole ending was insane! Let us not forget the vivid intimate scenes... o.O

I love that movie. I'm about to start reading the book, but first I have to finish the last 50 or so pages of IT (I just finished the bit where they beat It the first time, and they've just entered It's lair the second time). I loved everything about the movie version of Misery. The actors were perfect, especially Kathy Bates as Annie Wilkes - she was great at acting as both a nice old lady and a psychopath - the dialogue was excellent, and the bit where she breaks his legs with a sledgehammer... it totally surprised and scared the hell out of me.
Event Horizon.
The Devil's Advocate.
No other movie has ever really bugged me, but those two, for whatever reason, made up for all the rest.
The grudge was the scariest movie that i have ever seen. I watched it when it first came out a couple of years ago and i still have nightmares about it every now and then.hoolaWhich version? I found the new one pretty funny.
Silent hill...omg....i scare very easily, i didin't dare finish watching the first 1min of saw 3. but silent hill....i'm so glad i had to leave halfway through, i remember how she was looking throught the toilets and bam this dead guy hanging on barbed wire, me and my cousin was like o S***, his sister was there shes 10...she's like immune to fear :\leonheadSilent Hill was a lolfest.
