The new star trek film, never hear a good word about it, but I thought it was outstanding. I was always a StarWars fan as a kid, but that movie is put together far better than any off Lucas's cash cows (I should point out that thats aimed at Ep 1 2 & 3).

There's a sequel in the works. Hopefully it's as good as it's sibling.
i'm fairly easy to please when it comes to movies so i could list a ton of films i like that most people don't. i especially love end of the world/armegeddon movies like 2012, the day the earth stood still (yes, the new one), war of the worlds etc.
I think that Gremlins 2 is pretty ****ing awesome, and I don't know anyone else who likes that.MrGeezer
I don't know anyone who dislikes that movie. Same with What About Bob. Actually, there are a lot of movies being mentioned that I don't think fall in the "everyone else hates category." Movies like pulp fiction, Howl's moving Castle, Starship troopers are all movies that a lot of people really like. And did somebody really mention The Harry Potter movies?
Matrix 2, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Oh and the Transformers movies. People rage on them so much but for explosion-filled, popcorn movies, they were quite good. Honestly what were people expecting?

That's because there are no such films. If there ever was a unanimous I'm sure we'd all know about it. And I was the one that mentioned the Potter films. How many people here would say they are horrible just because? It's all relative. You like something, I can find 20 people that think you're stupid for liking it. Same way you can for me. Personally I have heard on countless occasions the phrase, "those movies are for kids, or basement dwellers." regarding the HP films.

I, too, greatly enjoyed Prometheus. I think the problem was that everyone was expecting an all-out Alien prequel, even though we all knew it wasn't going to be that.
I thought that Prometheus, unlike its promising premise, wasn't amazing, but it was good nonetheless. I'm not convinced it's something that "everybody hates".

The Good Son, Deep Impact, Event Horizon, and The Mist (I never read the book). I especially don't understand why so many critics panned The Good Son. I suspect it was just too edgy for its time.
I have every Godzilla movie in 720p, original uncut Japanese, with subtitles. I have watched them all multiple times. Nobody understands how or why. I love godzilla as well I have most of the movies like 20 or so. In fact I went on a marathon this summer and really enjoyed it. I guess I really like the cheesiness of the movies and how could you go wrong with two monsters fighting in a city blowing s*** up?
Also I rather watch them dubbed, its more funny that way. I only watch foreign with subtitles if they are serious.

PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THIS MOVIE? :( I can't think of any. My tastes aren't that unique, but I don't find that to be a bad thing. I thought I was the only one who hated it.
