only plant based diet (no animal products).
Also, I'm vegan and there are vegan hotdogs, chicken, beef, cheese, yogurt, milk, etc... They taste really good and are healthy.
You could mimic any omnivore meal with vegan ingredients.

why are you trying to become vegan when you don't even know what it is? :?I've been practicing becoming one slowly. But I belive that there is more to being a vegan besides just meat no ??

No surprise there.
Sorry I'm just not a judgemental fvck like you are. There's nothing wrong with eating vegan substitutes for actual meat and if you think there is you have some issues to sort out.[QUOTE="Aljosa23"]Sorry I'm just not a judgemental fvck like you are. I don't think you know what judgemental means. I wasn't trying to make myself feel better about anything, only calling it like I see it mayne.Vegan... chicken...only plant based diet (no animal products).

How the hell do they know it actually tastes like chicken?
Also, I'm tempted to start a movement to free you all from the tyranny of a bacon-free diet.

So what makes us any different ITT? Please bestow thy enlightenment upon me.
The fact that I'm not trying to shit on someone for their personal choices? lol wtfI still want to know what's the problem with eating vegan substitutes.

But you *are* trying lolwtf.
Why don't you take a wild guess?
In fact, I must admit I was a bit too rash to respond to the guy's post and should've asked what were his reasons to be vegan, but when non-vegan surrogate food is mentioned and "it's healthy" is said I'm extremely confident they won't be any different from the usual pretentious bullshit I read on facebook when I'm bored and feel like getting my kicks with some trolling, "well duh it's cruelty free and a cruelty free world is good!".
If you would like "cruelty" against animals to stop then why do you model your own food after not-cruelty-free products? Does that sound coherent to you?

if they're so worried about the deaths of animals why go through so much trouble to make their food look exactly like hot dogs, meat, chicken, etc? there's no association with the cruelty they fight against?rofl eating meat is disgusting, brb making food that looks exactly like a burger whyyyyyyyyyyy[QUOTE="MrPraline"][QUOTE="N30F3N1X"]

Perhaps they're not being facetious, and it's just their frivolous is what preventing them from concluding meat doesn't necessarily taste disgusting to vegans, and the thought of having a higher purpose in choosing a vegan lifestyle than taste/convenience never crossed their minds.

It's because you *don't* have a higher purpose in choosing a vegan diet. You just tell yourself you do because you don't know anything about the world that surrounds you. If you were to actually pursue in a coherent manner the "higher purpose" you speak of you wouldn't be using a computer.

what higher purpose condemning burgers and designing food to look like it instead? people who honestly dislike the slaughter of animals wouldn't want their food to be made, for no apparent reason, to look exactly like chicken, a burger or a hot dog.[QUOTE="lostrib"]

maybe this could help you understand better
It's important to note that I don't condemn consuming animal products. I condemn what's practiced in the above video.
As for myself, and even though I understand we're biologically designed to consume animal products, I don't feel comfortable being a part of what contributes to support what's shown in the above video.
Also, the health benefit of plant based diet is a mojor incentive for staying vegan.
