I'm finishing up Chuck Palahniuk's Choke. It's a really good book. I think I might start Dean Koont's Odd series with Odd Thomas next.

Choke is a really great book. I hope the film lives up to it. In terms of Chuck Palahniuk I strongly recommend Invisible Monsters and Survivor.

At present I am reading Irvine Welsh's latest effort "Crime" I'm only 50 pages or so in at the moment, but I must say it really is very good.

Finally! A complete collection of Scott McCloud's excellent Zot! comic book has been released and I'm busily reliving my 80s independent comic book memories.

A new book on Kleopatra VII which I'm busily tearing through. Now if only we could get a nice updated book on Hatchepsut I would be positively giddy.

Nice choice! But that reminds me I keep forgetting to pick up his new book. I guess I'll do that tonight.

Yeah, those two were recommended to me earlier. I plan on starting Survivor after I finish reading Koontz's Odd series. And yeah, i really hope they do a good job with the movie.

The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. About an ex-pornstar who loses his manhood in an accident after being severely burned and ends up falling in love with a woman who sculpts gargoyles in the nude and thinks they were in love in the 13th century in Germany.

An Invisible Monsters film is also in the pipeline for either later this year or early next year... And I'm pretty sure words are flying around about a Survivor film again after the project was halted 6 years ago.

The Black Company. I have to read it for my English Lit. class. It's a class about Science Fiction themes. I have to read The Watchmen (which I did finish) and a few more sci-fi books. It's ok. It's not exactly fleshed out, and can be confusing at times.

Fast Food Nation... hmm, I was interested in reading that book once. I'll need to keep it in mind.

Well.. i mean.. .some of the subject matter is very rough. There's a scene where one of the kid's friends get... well, I don't want to talk about it. I couldn't watch it in the movie, and I really don't want to read it in the book where it would only be more detailed.

I wanted to read that because of Bioshock but I didn't think I would get into it because of her philosophical views. I really dislike her outlook on ethics and her outright objection of anything resembling altruism.
