*Gets on knees* PLEASE!!!! GIVE ME TIME!!! I HAVE BEEN BUSY ALL WEEK!!! I MEAN..... MY GRANDPA DIED YESTERDAY AND I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH A LOT.... SO PLEASE!!!
Well, I said to myself that I wanted to make this homework perfect, so I did. I worked on it for hours until everything was perfect, scrutinizing every last detail. Anyways, excited about my accomplishment, I celebrated by running outside to show the entire neighborhood and my friend Jim. As I was running, I tripped on a crack, but my paper flew out of my hands. The paper landed softly onto a wet puddle. Afterwards, it spontaneously combusted and exploded into tiny pieces, which than got run over by several cars and a tractor trailer. Then a satellite fell on it. When I searched my my said perfect work, I discovered a lepprechaun with my homework and it ran away over the rainbow. Then I came to school.
My teachers won't accept excuses, so I don't even bother. To them, leaving it at home/forgetting to turn it in/my dog ate it is the same as not doing it. Some accept late grades for half credit while others just put in a zero.
My dog ate it. For real. I had a German Poster assignment that I did. I left it on the floor in my room and my dog came into my room in the night and started chewing on the poster. Luckily the teacher found it funny and didn't dock marks.
I don't creative with my excuses. I'll usually just say, "I don't have it done," or, "I forgot it," or if it's something that had to be printed I'll say, "Shoot, I forgot it on the printer tray."
I tell the teacher straight up I didnt do it...they dont acutally care why you didnt do it...they just need to know so they can put it in their grade book...
I always do my homework, and on an extremely rare occassion that I didn't do it for whatever reason, I just tell them I forgot and they understand. I am a good student. :)
It's really rare that I don't do my homework, but if for some reason I don't... I say I did it but I accidentally left it at home, and my teachers usually just tell me to bring it in the next day. Works everytime.
My friend once said when he didnt do his math "I had absolutely no pencils in my house" Ofcourse my teacher didnt believe him but it was funny. When I didnt do it I just said I didnt understand it.
"My dog ate it, and then my dog died from choking on it. Sad and unfortionate, I know. Which was why I couldn't do it and hope that you come to understand my situation here and excuse me for it." *Uses same excuse week later*
I once told my teacher a really long story about how I lost my creative writing assignment, he told me to go write down my story and turn it in, it was awesome.
"I was on my way to class and my car got hit. It was a terrible affair,I was driving down ______(Enter a good street name here) and all of the sudden this _____(Enter The Type of vehicle here) came barreling down the opposeing street,he drover over the divider and was heading stright towards me! I took a detor down _____(Another good street here) But he followed me! I continued to drive for some time,while this ______(Enter the color/make/model and type of vehicle of other car here) followed me,getting closer and closer as I sped up to aviod getting rear ended! My _____(Enter your type of car here) couldn't drive fast enough, as the other _____(type of vehicle) closed the distance quickly. It was when I tried to make a the turn onto ____(Street name here) that he finnaly connected with the rear end of my _____(type of vehicle) and I was sent spinning into the lane opposeing this one. Another _____(type of vehicle here) was coming to fast to stop,so I braced for impact as I was tossed around even further! This myserious ____(type of vehicle here) was no where to be seen,and I was left to explain my situation to the police! Anyway, sorry, I didn't do the work, Guess you'll just have to live with it.
"Well unfortionately someone broke into my house last night when everyone was away.. Luckily the burglar didn't steal anything, except for my homework assignments.. And some Tic-Tacs. Me and my family tried to see if insurance can cover my losses, but no, unfortionately."
almost any excuse made before the deadline is rock solid. Call/email the teacher now, and say you're probably not going to finish it, and they'll pretty much always give you a free pass unless you come up w/ a blatent lie.
Take a writing papers for example. You come in the day it's due and say "I lost my notes so I couldn't finish" and few teachers will give you any sympathy. If you ask for an extention a day or two before it's due w/ the same excuse you'll almost always get a resonable extention (and often an extra bump in your grade).
