I really can't do that, there are too many... But here are ten songs I really like, off the top of my head, in no particular order :P

- Schizophrenia - Sonic Youth

- The Sea is a Good Place to Think of the Future - Los Campesinos!

- Soma - Smashing Pumpkins

- Over - Portishead

- Still Ill - The Smiths

- Raisans - Dinosaur Jr.

- Hounds of Love - Kate Bush

- Melon - Duchess Says

- Soft as Snow (But Warm Inside) - My Bloody Valentine

- Half Jack - Dresden Dolls

I limited myself to one song per artist, else there would only be one or two other artists beside Sonic Youth and the Smiths on that list :P

I think you mean "What an awesomely diverse list" :D

I don't see much love for Experiment IV even among Kate Bush fans, but it really is a great song. Love the video too.

Lulz wat? I never realised I was 'odd' :P

Edit:

Yes the video is awesome it has 'House' in it, haha! And I love the song, it is one of my Top 10 because it is one of the first songs I remember getting chills over when I realised what the lyrics were about. It's hard to choose a Kate song above any other, but I love her as a master-lyricist and Experiment IV totally showcases that.

It's cool, almost all new metalcore bands cite August Burns Red as an influence, but they've only released three albums! :P Them and The Devil Wears Prada are the premiere metalcore bands imo...

[QUOTE="enterawesome"]Definately Constellations. Not a single weak song on there. Then again, I've yet to hear a weak song from ABR at all. :P

It's cool, almost all new metalcore bands cite August Burns Red as an influence, but they've only released three albums! :P Them and The Devil Wears Prada are the premiere metalcore bands imo...

If you're going to be influenced by something, it may as well be ABR. Still, I think these guys are the MASTERS of breakdowns in their song. They can from a peaceful guitar solo to an insanely heavy riff so suddenly, yet so seamlessly, it blows the mind.

Eh, they took the reins from Korn as the new "Nu Metal" band, and did a pretty good job at the genre in their first two albums. Although their last album was not good at all...

Can't say I'm very knowledgeable on nu metal, but I can say I don't like Korn very much, but I do enjoy Slipknot quite a bit, for certain songs.

yeah I feel the same, I dont like korn at all or any of those nu metal bands...it seems as if being a posser is a requisite to play nu metal...but the songs I like from slipknot, do not sound as nu metal...I think that only the first album was nu, then they moved because they realized nu is for possers

I don't like Nu Metal either, I just think they did a good job representing the genre. Overall, most of the new Metalcore and Screamo bands are far superior to what Nu Metal can ever do imo...

Basically. Them and TDWP know how to go insane with their riffs, drumming, etc. and quickly fade into a peaceful riff, beautiful singing, etc. and no one in the genre can do that. Not even the new "front runner" Attack Attack! Heck, I can sing my fave song by Attack Attack! better than the actual auto-tuned "vocalist" on their band. :P

I dont really like nu or screamo...and metalcore...not so much...I just think that metalcore is more noise than music....I hate the screaming vocals btw...read one of my post above...the one that starts with "Im so happy"...it looks as if you missed that one
