Although many on here seem to hate Linkin Park, these guys are what made me get into music.

What about you guys?

Mystikal. I was listening to him in 1995 before anybody outside of New Orleans heard of him.

Embarassingly enough, it was Michael Jackson.

But Incubus and Funeral for a Friend are my two fave bands ever.

I wouldn't say artist but it was my dad who got me into metal and classic rock.

It was either Don Mclean, or The Killers.

I started delving into The Killers 80's british pop influences, where my musical love really is.

Why DoN Mclean, I have no idea

Well I remember listening to the Beatles, B.B. King and Elvis on my dad's record player when I was a kid...I was probably four or five then. Once I got a little older and started playing music the bands that I really got inspired by were Funkadelic, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Rob Zombie and Monster Magnet. Weird mix, but hey, whatever.

I don't really remember actually. I used to just listen to what my older brother listened to back in 7th grade, and from then on I started listening to music more.

Thrice, heard a song of their's in my early teen's and got more stuff to listen to, then eventually started listening to lots of other bands.

I don't really listen to Thrice much anymore, though, I'velong moved onto to better bands.Seems to be the way for a lot of poeple here actually, they don't listen to lots of their early bands anymore.

My Dad would play Bob Marley, The Beatles, Bob Dylan and The Kinks a lot. That's probably the first music I listened to. A Kinks compilation, Exodus, Rubber Soul and Abbey Road.

But what got me into music in my teenage years was when I heard tracks from De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising.

Well there was the brit pop movement from the early 90s when I first got into music, I always preferred Blur to Oasis, but liked both. Although I quickly moved on to far darker music. So while brit pop was the first type of music I really enjoyed, it didn't shape my future listening very much.

I always listened to music.....though I can say that The Cure got me listening to quite a bit more variety/bands.....and actually rekindled my interest in music as I had desparied of the business/mainstream aspect of music and stopped listening.

I listen to music occasionally but haven't developed a love for it outside of Praise and Worship Music.

Still enjoy some of their songs, though.

My fondest memories of music were in the early 90's listening to Crystal Waters and CeCe Peniston so I guess that's when I first started loving music.
