The Eagles were the only band that sounded straight up studio quality, and they were switching instruments all show long..:o
Metallica was really good..
But the best live show I have been to is Swollen Members.
You know who sucks live? Goo goo Dolls. I don't even know why I saw them twice in my life. They just play the hits which goes to show that they aren't a good band.
Metallica is great live!!!! They truely are the gods of metal!! Avenged Sevenfold is really good as well!! 311 rocks!!! Luckly I haven't seen to many bad live concerts!!
[QUOTE="AirGuitarist87"]Yngwie Malmsteen and DragonForce are incredible live. Unfortunately a lot of people think the Force are bad live due to 16 second mobile phone videos on YouTube.Lto_thaG

You just emphasised my point by linking YouTube.I remember going to Breaking Ben shows when they were still a local band around here, I was like 13 or 14. They were probably the first local band that actually sounded good live around here.Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin, and Nickelback all put on a truly amazing show

Bad: Moody Blues, Disturbed (they wernt really bad, just not up to the quality above.)
Very, very bad: Dragonforce....*shudders*

You just emphasised my point by linking YouTube.No. He linked to a nearly 6 minute live performance, captured in a studio with professional cameras and sound equipment. And "The Force"
didn't sound so hot.

haha no lol, I went with my parents because I needed to spend some quality time with them. God that was a mistake!
They were slow, instrumentals were downsized, no energy. The drummer used a small snar drum because of arthritis or something. They had to bring in alot of extra talent to make it work, even then It still failed........
From the special edition Indestructible CD with a few live tracks, Disturbed really good live. (their coming to my town actually. But I'm scared I'd get squished if I went)
Avenged Sevenfold seems good live. And I think they say Iron Maiden is great live.
"A Little Piece of Heaven" Live by Avenged Sevenfold. Warning for language and lyrical content... I guess.
Edit: Everyone in the band sings in that song. The drummer seems to get a little tired during his parts. Thats understandable, though. :P
ZZ Top is still excellent live. Also Black Label Society puts on a really good show. Metallica was awesome as well, but Lars' drumming very sloppy and skipped to the wrong part of one song, causing the whole band to stop. It was funny though cause James took a couple shots at him after the song  Also I saw The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Dropkick Murphys last summer and both bands SLAYED.

True, and I'm not saying they're perfect. But the whole "Force are bad live" thing is blown way out of proportion. Whenever it comes up in discussion it's always the same videos being circulated.

Megadeth destroyed when I see them, really good show.Rage Against The Machine and The Rolling Stones were incredible too.... most of the concerts I have been at were great, but those two stood out.

You're right. They're just bad period.
Museare just Godly live and I NEED to see them at some point.
Static-X was awesome live thanks to all the energy they had going.
Ozzy Osbourne STILL rules live.
Breaking Benjamin sounds great live.
Puddle of Mudd started out a little bad but after the first song they kicked much ass.
