I came home from work, logged on, checked our que and saw that thread with a report score of well over 3000 (a post that gets reported twice has a score of 50). There was no one in OT or checking the mod que at all. It happens sometime, and if you don't want lapses like that to happen again, you should write CNET and suggest to them to pay moderators so there can be assigned shifts so there is always someone watching.

Well, we basically have three options:

1. Not allow anyone to post anything;

2. Require every post to be approved by someone before it gets posted; or

3. Not do anything pre-emptive.

I don't think #1 would be very well-received and #2 would basically have the same effect of #1 given how many people we have available to approve posts, so #3 seems like the only real option. The whole reason why we suspend people for posting in account suicide threads is to create an incentive not to keep posting in those threads and bumping them up to the top. If everyone did that this wouldn't be a problem.
