The google phone is nice, works with tmobile, and seems to match your specs (unless you really hate the touch screen). The pop out keyboard is great though, and everything but the camera is pretty nice. DarthMegalonHmm... I'll look into it more. I thought about it a month ago but I really hate touch screen.

Eh....personally I do not like the G1's design...it's asdjklf; :P. T-Mobile eh? I'm T-Mobile too (though I use unlocked phones), and I say probably a Blackberry, especially if you'll be using it for Business related tasks (email, web, organizer, etc.) There's also the Wing, but I'm not sure how well that one is.
If you just need the phone for texting, then you might want to think about a sidekick, though the size of those are larger than a Blackberry. You said you were thinking of the 8820? I like that one, it's really nice, has a nice screen size, keys, and everything. Only downside is there is no camera :(.
Btw, you can always check websites like CNET if you're doing reserch on phones :).
