it's not THAT bad to get into UofT or Cornell...it's like 80 average cutoff. :|

I am going to South Dakota State University because I am cheap and they will guarentee me at least 1500 in scholarships (which is like 1/8 of the yearly tuition) and I will get much more than that, that is just their unconditional guarentee. I am going to major in

1.Math

2.Physics

so I can do whatever I please when I get out of college. For example, I could be an engineer, an actuary, an astronomer, a research scientist, whatever! So that's my plan.

There are very few people from the UK talking about the uni's here. I go to Leeds, it's great here (the real one, not met), came here after an unsucessful 2 year stint at Aston. I have a flatmate doing Philosohpy, but it's hard to say how hard to course is because English is her 2nd language so naturally she's gonna find it tough.

Res is great. Mine is kinda far from campus (10 minute metro ride) but my room is huge for a residence: plus it has its own gym in the basement and the biggest common area.Most people try to get into upper res and "New" res (an old hotel), but I lovewhere I am, especially since everyone moves right beside campus in their 2nd year anyway.

I'm definitely glad I went here:great school, nice campus, unbeatable nightlife. If you're applying to Queen's I'd recommend checking out McGill too.
