So far this is what I got....

1. The Devil Wears Prada, A Day to Remember, Emarosa, and Sky Eats Airplane.

2. RED and Trapt

3. Silverstein, Norma Jean, Blessthefall, and Before Their Eyes

4. Warped Tour ( See Escape the Fate for the fourth time :) )

What concerts do you plan to go to this year?

Why would I pay money to hear to music I can already listen to in the comfort of my home?

Cause I like to interact with people. Meet the band members. Hear there actually pure music not just their tuned up version. Mosh, crowd surf, and just interact. It is fun to enjoy your music with others and with a band tearing up the stage only a few feet away. Plus depending on the band, tickets are usually pretty cheap.

Alternatively, you could just play music on a crowded bus.

Prepare to be bummed if you go to see the devil wears prada. Dudes are a joke. Preachy about jesus and stuff while trying to bone 12 year old girls at the same time. That whole scene is awful. Shocked that this band is national now, I had no idea how they got booked outside of ohio vfw halls when I ended up seeing them in michigan a few years ago.

because it is awesome to see a band live. see other people who enjoy the band. i went to see stone sour one time and i was like a foot away from James Roots (slipknot guitar player, and stone sour). he was taking pictures of the other bands that were playing.

so far just going to see music as a weapon 4- disturbed, killswitch engaged, chimara, some other bands.

Sure. If that is what you rather do then I will not stop you. I just prefer seeing live music

Yes I am not going in expecting too much from them. I am not huge fans of them as much as I used to be before. I am really going for A Day To Remember.

Other than Leeds festival, nothing. Just checked to see what's on and deadmau5 is playing. Might go see him but other than that it is all a bit meh. My favourite bands tend to be winter guys it seems. Edit: Just checked the proper gig guide for the place and there are some good bands playing. There is the Give It a Name incoming tour with UnderOath, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Escape the Fate and others; deadmau5 as mentioned before and Brand New. I love Brand New and I think it is near my exams. I am so worried that it will be near my exams. I couldn't bear that. I think it might be after it though. I really need to check. Bring me the Horizon are playing in october as well. I will see that. Expect an incoming edit.

Anyway, I only have the next few months lined up, but I've been to a few already.

Already:

Dead Machines-Crazy handmade horns messed up tapes awesome. 2 dudes I know refuse to go to shows with me after seeing this.
Wolf Eyes/Aaron Dilloway- So pissed, the new set rules. Always Wrong. Dark. Dilloway's set was nuts too. Messed upppp.
Tyvek- Best michigan rock band around right now. Rule every time I see them, and I see them all the time. On tour now, check it out.
Awesome color- There's a reason these dudes open for Dinosaur Jr all the time. It's because they rule.

+A bunch I can't remember.

Coming up soon:

Black Lips-2night. Stoked.
Andrew Coltrane+more-Michigan noize. Always rules.
Burning Star Core/Graveyardz/Wasteland Jazz Unit-Should be sick/Far out/stoned.
F**ked Up- Should be.
Dinosaur Jr- Blown out when I saw them last summer, should be again. Totally awesome.
Animal Collective- Should be gone. Still playing kinda the same set from last summer I think. That's a good thing.
+More. Stuff rules all the time.

If Tool comes to southern ontario, then I'll be there. Or Here comes the kraken, but I doubt they'd come to canada, since they're an indie band in Mexico.

I want to go to Mayhem Fest so bad. Some of my friends went last summer and they said it was sick. We The Living is playing a charity concert in our school auditorium tonight, lol. They aren't bad but they are just generic sounding.

Indeed.

I'm not sure what bands I wanna see, hardly good Metal bands come here in El Paso in my area, mostly crappy metalcore/hardcore scene music and such. Occasionaly sometimes good bands come. Brujeria comes to mind, awesome gig.

Utah is the worst place ever if you want to see metal concerts, though I did see Disturbed, they put on a pretty good show.

Although I do not mind listening to ISMFOF, I do not know how well they will sound live. If I can fit them in I might see them in Warped Tour.

I'm going to the Oddity Faire next Friday which will tide me over until The Mars Volta comes around (whenvever that will be).
