How did America save britain? Britain wasn't even occupied, it fought off nazi germany alone for years and then moved back into europe to liberate other nations with the help of canada, australia, america; heckloads of countries. Russia also contributed far more men to the war than any other nation.

Britain COULD have lasted forever against Germany because they already had; hitler ceased operations trying to invade britain. He gave up. Britain could have accepted europe under nazi rule, established trade relations with the germans and would have continued on just fine. Obviously that didn't happen though.

The liberation of Europe was an epic effort from practically every remaining free nation on earth; canada, australia, america, even tiny african countries and island nations which were a part of britain. To be arrogant enough to say "we saved you" is frankly, an insult to the british soldiers and pilots who fought off the machine that was the nazi war effort for so many years, completely alone, as well as the plethora of nations which joined the war effort to liberate europe.

He DID give up on britain. That's not an opinion, that's a fact. He pulled out forces from northern france, replacing it with a defensive line, and relocated everything to the east to fight russia. No attempt was made to invade Britain at all following the battle of britain.

No offense, but comments like "We saved you" are simply arrogant. They are. There's no denying that. I'm not insulting anyone.

Imagine a guy gets into a fight. He's ambushed. A huge guy with the fighting prowess of chuck norris beats him senseless. All of his buddies drop instantly, leaving him to fight by himself. He doesn't stand a chance. He battles on for hours though, refusing to go down, while another buddy of his stands by, bigger, stronger, able to help, but doesn't. His buddy instead uses the opportunity to make money, now that his friend is in a fight and thus cant do his usual job.

Finally, once enough money has been made, you jump into the fray. You help your buddy, beaten and battered from battling all alone all this time against impossible odds, and you and a bunch of your friends club together to beat up this guy who attacked him in the first place.

Would you really boast to your friend afterwards, that you saved him?

What do you mean by "europe"? Seeing as europe had already fallen and was under occupation. You need to stop talking about this because you know nothing about it. Honestly. And please dont be offended by that because it's not an insult; i dont want to upset anyone. I'm simply pointing out that the comments you keep making on the topic are entirely incorrect, factually speaking.

Britain would not have lost. Britain had already won. Would britain have been able to single handedly go BACK into europe and liberate france? Heck no. As far as britain was concerned though; it had successfully fought off nazi germany to the point where hitler lost all interest in even trying any more, and instead moved off to russia.
