That's a tough question. When I think about existence, I think about it being brought up from electricity. So basically any life form that is created is created right then an there. So in a sense maybe the idea of individuality is wrong, and that 'you' are not going to be experience life in another world, but life will go own and any life form that is created is living, so in that sense.. it really confuses me a lot. Right now I'm having thoughts that all life exists as one, we all are one, just different from our thoughts. So really when you die, your person is dead, but that doesn't mean anything because really life still goes on, and you were already experiencing it in every life form.
When we die, good people can choose to be reborn as human, an angel, or animal, like a squirrel, racoon, or beaver. If you lived a bad life, you're reborn as an insect. And when you die as insect, you're thrust into sanity-breaking, tormenting hell for the rest of your non-existence.

Mind = blown. As an atheist I believe "nothing" will happen, all neural activity will stop, which sounds incredibly depressing but I'm pretty sure I won't mind once I'm actually dead. For now I hope I'm wrong though, and I might; if science had definitive proof for everything we wouldn't have scientists. I suppose if I had to make a (non-depressing) theory with at least a slight amount of scientific possibility I guess I'd say a never-ending lucid dream, I say "slight" because I'm pretty sure no scientist has completely explained dreaming last time I checked. And if you think about it lucid dreams are probably literally the most "fantastic" observable thing about our bodies and existence.
Well, after watching Dr. OZ Monday, we go to the studio audience and wait for our family members and that medium dude to come on and listen to us begging for attention.... but seriously, I don't know. But I also think watching him work proves there is SOMETHING next.

I'm pretty sure the brain is really active during dreaming. Besides it doesn't make sense at all to dream without a brain.
You go back to the REAL WORLD that we left behind when we were reborn into this vessel that only carries our egos and we become One once again with the creator of every animate & inanimate object.
There was theory I once heard that if someone dies and decomposes that some of their biological energy can be trasported into the ground and that if someone grows food there and the food uses our decomposed energy to grow and then someone eats the food and then the food goes to build part of the body (cells, even those swimmers) and then when the little buddies get going they could potentially be carrying your energy and then you could be reborn, just no recollection that you ever were. For all I know, I could be what is left of some Roman Citizen, or maybe some horse that died a long time ago.
Despite the body rotting and the spirit separating at death, eventually when Christ returns the body is recreated and is raised from the dead. All are brought to judgment but for those who sought Christ's grace in life will live eternally upon a newly recreated earth and for those who sought their own desires will continue to live apart from him.
