I don't want there to be an eternity after death.
Let it end. Even a paradise is torment after forever.
Reincarnation of some sort. I believe that you are reincarnated as someone else but know nothing of the reincarnation itself and simply believe you are born and this is your one lifetime. Any 'connection' you feel to strangers are perhaps remnants of knowing them or someone like them in a past life.
Don't ask why, it just came to me one day and kind of stuck with me.
I believe God and all, but I think when we die, another life came in. You're just another person, living. With no memories of your past-life. Hell, we don't even know that we're one of the World War II respectful soldiers that died. Energy is neither created nor destroyed, but it's just my opinion though.
If there is some form of contiguous existence that persists after our physical body dies, then I don't doubt it would come to exist in another "dimension" or "underworld" where the immaterial shade suffers not knowing if this existence is to last finitely or eternally and pines again for physical existence and the ability to feel, love and remember again.
That's what I think, I'd love to tell everyone about it but I didn't exist to experience it, so I can't.Same as what life was like before I was born.

The funny thing about the idea of heaven and hell is that heaven sounds like what we all would want life on Earth to be like - to live for eternity in peace with our loved ones. While, on the other hand, Hell sounds like the place we would like all the "bad" people to go.
