Winter's round the corner, so more bugs are going to be crawling into my house looking for a warm place, spiders in particular. Normally I trap them and release them outside, but I was wondering how others handle a spider moment.

You should have made a poll
1. Kill it
or
2. Put it back outside (you're the first person I've actually heard of who does this)
[QUOTE="testfactor888"]I kill every bug I find in the house. Especially spiders and roachesbuldog300you get roaches? That can't be fun. Only during the summer. Winter I don't get any bugs in the house
1 or 5. After an incident involving an innocent mailman, I decided to stop killing things that came on my property without my permission.
Wow. You could just step on them ya know >_>.Yagr_ZeroI never used to be afraid of them. >___> Something happened and now I'm scared of them. I love bugs, but spiders are a no go. Though, I will watch them and such, until they start stalking me. D: I did grab a shoe and was about to squish it, but it sat there, waiting. D: I was afraid it was going to attack back.
Depends on my mood. Usually I'll either be lazy and leave it, or just squash it right then and there.
also, poll options are sexist for assuming said spider is male. what if i free all the male spiders, but decide to kill all the female ones? which option do i choose?
Depends on the species.
If it's a spider like a funnel web then I'll calmly walk into the kitchen to retrieve the bug spray and paint it white.
Please note these are the most potentially lethal spiders on the planet.
Or, if it's a spider like a huntsman then I'll freeze with terror and reach for the nearest blunt object without looking away, then proceed to bludgeon it to death.
Please note these spiders are completely harmless.
I dont actively hunt spiders, actually I like them hanging in corners, keeps the place clear of flies and mosquitoes. If I find one in the shower though, all bets are off.Allicrombie
Alli, believe me, if you saw a wolf spider (same size as tarantula) you would kill it...their eyesight is as good as yours, they know you're there.:o
I'd post an image, but Photobucket is doing site maintenance.

Just throwing this out there:
I'm from the UK and we don't get spiders that big, but if i turned around and saw a huntsman spider i'd probably run for my life.Depends on the species.

I'd just put it outside. The only bugs I kill are flies, because they're ****ing annoying with how the fly and buzz all over the place. Atleast spiders are cool and just chill and mind their business.

Not so in Florida...we have wolf spiders here, and their eyesight is as sharp as a human's...they know your presence.:o
Almost as large as a tarantula, when you see one you kill it, or
There was a wolf spider on the kitchen counter one time. A knife was right in front of it. My mom saw it, went to kill it, and the wolf spider lifted its legs up and threw the knife in the air.Not so in Florida...we have wolf spiders here, and their eyesight is as sharp as a human's...they know your presence.:o

omg:o
I use liberal amounts of Raid...but you have to be quick, because they usually jump towards you.:P
I tend to kill them if they are in my house. Unless its one I've seen outside. I'll some times let those go since they don't creep me out as much fastesttruck
It's the big ones that creep me out.
